Seconded. I called them up to get a couple of fit kit parts for the tundra s/c, and dude was super knowledgeable and friendly. Just wished they'd overhaul their website!

Agreed. They really need a more user friendly website with easier access to all of their parts. Their phone service, however, fantastic all the time.

Before I post this for sale I figured I would check in here, is anyone interested in the fj intake tube for the trd airbox? Has a denso maf with an adapter already made to plug in to our trucks. I also have some clips for the trd box

Speaking of SCOL.. since the Taco will be down for a bit (waiting for a new 3rd from ECGS..) I was thinking of sending the blower in for a rebuild. Really hesitant since it has been a nightmare in the past, especially with other shops and the issues that became of all that, etc. The Lid will be the worst as it has several stripped threads that have been replaced with Helicoils at the shop that last touched it, which was also a nightmare and I will never go there again. I'm wondering if I can tackle this and hopefully it wont turn into a huge project. I just need to call SCOL and set it up, and figure out the shipping. Any of you have any recommendations or tips, etc? I might as well redo all the threads while I'm in there myself and make sure they are done right. It's been years since I cracked it open in fear of never re-sealing again.

I have not sent mine in for rebuild yet but I know it’s coming sooner rather than later. I’ve heard it usually takes them a few weeks. Like 1-2 to look at it and then a few more for them to actually rebuild it.

If you have the ability I would just fix that stuff yourself. I’m sure SCOL could do it properly, but probably not going to be cheap lol.

I'd honestly rather let them do it. I know when to pick and choose my battles at this point, and I will have the downtime for sure. I think I have about 5 weeks left for the 3rd.. and its not my DD.. so I can stretch the downtime if needed.

About $2500 is right. I had them do mine last fall. They were super helpful and even installed a smaller pulley for my that I sent in the box with it.
Turn around should be around 2 weeks depending on their schedule. I’d definitely call ahead for that and get an estimate. I didn’t and was out of my DD for longer than expected.
UPS was good with their foam stuff. I shipped it in a large plastic tote.

for 2500 i'll definitely just buy a floor press and handle a snout rebuild myself. lets be honest.. what we see in those 3 youtube videos is not a big deal, its more about just proper setup and being careful and being handy and not being completely worthless with doing one's own maintenance. i'm an aerospace machinist, i like my chances.

it looks like having various doo-dads of a certain size and/or diameter is pretty clutch, but that's fairly easily sorted ahead of time. and lets say worse comes to worse, if things are THAT bad you can just box it all up and ship it out to the professionals but your blower has to get pulled out of your truck either way, eh? so may as well roll up your sleeves and have a go, i suppose.

with those 2 rebuild kits i posted.. i emailed the one with the strangely cheap kit and never heard back, gmail reported problems even delivering the email. think that says enough, frankly. the kit would be insane for that price if those bearings are real but i'd rather not find out the quick and hard way that they're not, ha. i'll just grab the SCOL kit when the time comes.

This SCOL kit could be much better. I don’t think most people will need to replace the 3-pin drive hub. Why have a spring coupler when solid is better. There are no needle bearings. And there is no seal tool, spring, etc.. to properly guide and install the seal.

Thought it was interesting the TRD s/c for the Tundra uses a solid coupler. But it too wears out quick and SCOL makes a better replacement

What all does 2500 get you for a rebuild? Is there anything else they do besides bearings?

I should clarify, too, mine was about 2500 all said and done including shipping. Mine needed all new bearings and rotors as well.
Pretty much the only thing I got back was the actual housing itself. I believe they threw on a new bypass valve as well.
