Good job being persistent and getting it right. Glad the vendor was helpful.

No rear locker on this one. I'll sort the VIN out when I get a breather. In the middle of trying to retire at the end of this week and have a few things of higher priority to deal with for the moment. Appreciate the guidance.

I have an 09 pre runner that I am getting ready to change the coil overs. So ordered the 4600 with ome stock height coils (supposedly) from suspension
Lifts.com. The springs are listed as moog 81074. However I found Out later moog says 81074 is only good for 05~07. It looks like they will fit my 09 prerunner but are they going to lift it? I definately don’t want a squatted truck . It was the only place I saw anything for a stock height pre runner . Any info would be appreciated . 09 pre runner access cab v6

I’m really not sure about the next generation above My truck, I’d imagine cause it’s newer it may be more accurate. But it is for sure heavier than my old truck I’m sure so the spring was too stiff. I believe it was the spring for your generation since mine were no longer manufactured for my year truck for Oem springs. I want to say if all information was punched in correct you might be okay unlike me and my older truck.

    Tac_99,
I put bilstein 4600's(w/coilovers) all around & don't like that the front is higher than the rear. How much has yours settled in the front? And a recent pics?
    Thanks,
    98 taco 4x4 trd v6

Ride hight will be determined by the springs that were put on the shocks in the front.
Here is a picture of how my truck sits now.
It really hasn’t settled much in a couple thousand miles. At least visually
The front does sit a little higher than the rear now as my leaf springs haven’t been changed yet but it doesn’t really look too noticeable or bad in my opinion

I'm going through the same at the moment, they specify 81104 for the original assembled set but are currently out of stock on those and may substitute 81090's to get the order to me in time. 81090's have the exact same specs as 81104's with the exception of being .3" longer, obviously this is going to provide a half inch lift but we'll see.

Interesting, yeah I’m pretty sure the springs I got that are supposed to be correct are still giving me a SLIGHT lift over the stock

Just an update about Suspensionlifts.com. I just dealt with a similar issue after ordering from them.

I bought a set of 5100s which were advertised on the site as including Moog 81104 coils. After installing the coilovers, I noticed my truck was much more lifted than before. This could be due to my old coils being saggy, but it threw my camber so far positive, I had the thought that they installed the wrong coils. After 2 or 3 days of sparse emails, I removed the part to inspect the coil for a part #. There was no part number printed on the coil. Moog prints their part number directly on the coil so I emailed Suspensionlifts.com back with this information. I asked that they contact their assembly team to find out which coil was actually installed. After another day of emailing back and forth they finally relayed a message from their assembly team which said that they *either install Moog 81104 or Mevotech SMS81104*. I then asked that they check if the part number is printed on the Mevotech coil. They confirmed it was not printed on the coil, so that is what I suspect the part they installed on my coilovers to be.

It seems that these Mevotech coils give a bit more of a lift above stock as opposed to the Moog coils, which many people report after installing that their vehicle actually ends up slightly lower than stock.

I have no previous experience with Mevotech, but I will report after running them for a while. I have read they are superior, inferior, and about the same as Moog so we will see. It would be helpful if they printed the part number on the part so we at least know what were getting.

I know this is an older thread, but figured I’d post since I went with the 4600’s. I also replaced my rear leafs. Here’s how mine sits. All of the suspension is brand new as well as the tires. The bottom pic is my truck before I replaced everything. It was a sagged out looking truck

Another update. Suspensionlifts.com has basically decided it was my fault that they installed the incorrect coils on my coilovers. Not sure how that works. I would not ever buy from this site again. An easy weekend job has turned into weeks of hell waiting for rude customer "service" employees to return my emails, only to be told a bunch of bs and lied to. Save yourself the headache, buy some spring compressors and do it yourself. This would have taken me 30 minutes.
