Rear Bumper Rust

It's only 4 months old and my rear bumper is spotted with rust. Clark Toyota in Fredericton has no problem replacing it under warranty, but I hope the new one does not rust the same way. Anyone else have rust problems?

 

get a black one, no more chrome. And no i haven't seen any yet, but i hear of others with this problem. But i plan on getting a black bumper in the future.

 

Yup, same here. Just bought a leftover 010 December and had to have the bumper replaced under waranty

 

I have a 2010 and it also started rusting (specs) at about 4 months. I cleaned good with some turtle wax chrome polish and it's been 1 1/2 years and no problems. I thought it was just some iron left on the surface that rusted. I've heard people are getting them replaced so I watch mine very close but it never happened again and it just went thru another snowy winter.

 

Mine is getting powder coated black right now, saw surface rust on inside. The North West weather is not the best on cars. Buddys 4runner had holes in it, was only 10years old.

 

Had the same problem with my previous 2007 Tacoma Access Cab. Had it warranteed twice. After that I just used a good chrome polish every now and then and no problem.
