Had a jeep friend go visit this place last weekend: Apple Valley Farms Offroad Park. It is near Chetek which puts it above Hwy 29 which means, for selfish reasons, that it is closer to me. Asked if my truck could play well there he said yes-I wasn't sure after looking at the site (there is another place really close to me near Poplar WI but it is for buggies etc.) This might make for a fun weekend with the TW crew. Low key and seems inexpensive. Looks like they have some tough ledges and stuff, but according to Matt they all have by-passes and there was mud. I am eyeing that end of July weekend as a possibility as I am actually here-29-30th! @Supr4Lo, @Taco-Grinder, @Stoney Ranger you guys around and in for some wheeling??? Anyone else? Here is the web site:

The freeways in the southeast corner of the state are so f'ed up with construction right now that Google has given up on finding me a route home. "You're on your own, bro!"

Oh dang I forgot I blocked out my trauma on this. After driving home from Bearpaw, they decided to shrink 4 lanes of southbound I-94 in Kenosha into one lane that promptly exits the freeway and gives no detour signs because the road crew didn't finish setting them up yet. Can only dream what they have going on now. Fun times.

It's as bad as I've ever seen it. I've been using Google maps to get home because it a different shit show every day. Construction and closures at exits at Port Washington Rd, Brown Deer Rd, Good Hope Rd, Capitol Dr... And then street closures everywhere. To top it off, we're getting new gas lines on my street so I have to move orange barrels and scowl at construction workers every morning just to get out of my driveway. :annoyed:

Since Bearpaw I've been enjoying some extra time off work.
Work had a computer hack. Pretty much shut everything down. A few areas have started back up. Everyone not working is still getting paid.

That is why it sits in the garage most of the winter... Princess Tacoma as my girls like to remind me.

    Can confirm :anonymous:

StL isnt much better at the moment. For the most part, the detour signs are accurate, they're just... Everywhere. And a get confusing when you're on one detour and you cross another detour and it turns out the highway you're trying to get to doesn't actually exist anymore because they blew the bridge 2 months ago and we're still waiting on steel girders and there's a concrete shortage and a labor shortage and a trucker shortage and... Everyone's trying to run out their money so they can get more money and all the things all at once.

Pat, I can't commit to anything because of work.

It's been nice. Getting a lot little things done.
Having off has been a day by day thing. I get a text from my foreman around noon everyday letting me know if we're working. In my plant, maintenance started coming in last Wednesday to do things that didn't involve using a computer. I was able to go in on Wednesday and Thursday.
I'm not used to being around my wife so much. She is still doing all of her stuff.
She did make a real good rhubarb cake:hungry:

I might be interested. I have to double check because I already made so many plans for the summer, but it sounds interesting.

Edit: that's only 2 weeks before Tigerton, which might make it a little tough. I can only afford so much gas every month.
