same here dude im puzzled. no way a leveling kit and a set of more aggressive stock size tires should rape my mpg.

I will never understand someone buying a 4WD (or 2WD) 6 cyl truck and caring about MPGs. People have to know the MPG is not very good..Hell the EPA stickers are pretty clear in BOLD and usually wrong. Thee are a lot of vehicles that get far better MPG. One f the reasons I bought a Bike is 1. to save on fuel 2. to save wear and tear on my main vehicle. Of course that works a lot better for those of us who live in warmer year round climates.

I will only worry bout MPG if it drops unexpectedly. Otherwise I will be happy with anything over 16.

i understand that king frog but i was looking for better milage from my titan and the stickers say 17-23 on our trucks so i figured it had to be far better than my titan.

YEah I understand. The small print on the EPA stickers is what I read......That is ususally worst case and its in the the low teens, like 14 MPG on the 4 cylinder 4WD.

x2!!!!!!!!!! Everytime I try to get my drink out it does that.

I absolutely hate how loud the chirp is when you push the phone button.. i haven't read if theres a way to permanently lower it yet.

And I really dislike the fact that I can't adjust the height of my seat, only lumbar and tilt the back.

    Heated/Defrost Outside Mirrors
    Window/Door Buttons that light up
    4WD Switch that lights up
Locking tail gate (not that big of a deal in reality though....)
    Heated Seats
    Bed Light

Overall not too much to complain about.

anybody else learn to do the drop and pop maneuver with the center cupholder? like how a bottle won't fit in it, so you just sit it in there and hit it one good time with your fist and go about your business? . . . its just turned into an unconscious thing with me and didn't know if im the only one.

I like the 05 cupholders quite a bit better.. I wonder if the center divider for the 05's work on the newer models??

I think Toyota needs to update its radios. The 2005-2008 radios had lots of issues, and IMO look old school. If you look at tacos from the 90's not much has changed from the stock radios. They need to come out with some new designs, or at least a new interface. Oh and more cup holders :) I realize this is an entry level pickup truck and not made for the luxury, but it would be nice to have the option of having a navigation unit, or at least an "upgraded" unit instead of having to purchase aftermarket products.

It looks the same underneath as my 07 did. Meanwhile I'll try to make the inside of of the cupholder a little more slick. A dab of shaving cream lol:confused::D

No cold weather package. I really like that my Subaru has heated seats, mirrors and windshield de-icer element under the wipers.

A leather option and power seats would have been nice also, at least the drivers seat. Considering the price point, I think Toyota missed out on a lot of potential upgrades that wouldn't have added much work or parts to stock on the factory assembly line.

Mud flaps, seats, lack of oil pres. gauge, the 120 volt 400 watts outlet is a joke, wish I had the club cap in stead of the four door as there isn't enough room to haul anybody in the back seat anyway and the box is worthless. needs a neutral position so you could tow it with the wheels down.

No more mud flaps, Temp gauge inside intake box, BHLM, extra D-rings in front of bed, No more plastic storage box behind rear seats. More to come.
I dont like the mud flaps, and the seats could hug me a little more, dont know if oil pressure gauge would help... but I love the 4door... and Im 6'5" and totally comfortable.. We just got back from Bend (171 miles down, 180 miles back) with three friends.. and one of em is 6'8" and 300# We rode up front and our three girls 5'5"-5'8'' rode in back... everybody was comfortable the whole way... only stopped for gas. <---Wish I didnt have to ever do that again. and we averaged 20mpg on winter gas going over Mt Passes and about 250lbs of winter gear and beer and wine in the bed.

I dont know what you mean about towing with the wheels down, but I dont tow often. Last fall I towed a friends 19' crab boat and all our gear with ease... again about 200mi round trip.

Im overall happy with the Tacoma, and modding is for all the little things that Toyota forgot.
