At one point, a woman who lived in another building probably thought somebody was breaking in when she heard the sound of a zombie bat against glass, and came over to investigate, cell phone in hand; I explained what I was doing, and she seemed fine with it...

I ended up not breaking the glass bottom, and this damn thing still required two people to carry it! @Stitchgirl90 helped me carry it a few feet, before the same neighbor who helped bring it up came out of his apartment and took over...

It’s unfortunate that you can’t express your opinion without hostility from others these days.
I think you made a good decisions Charlie. You shouldn’t have to make a decision, but under the circumstances, it was a good one. The easiest way to avoid a confrontation is by preventing one in the first place. Which is what you did by removing the stickers.

An inside fish tank is a liability itself.
Let alone one with a crack in it. And in an appointment?
    Nope, no thanks

Let that thing leak. You’ll end up paying for the repairs to the apartment.
And probably everything the renters below your apartment say was damaged.

I would think that over once more before you buy a new tank.

So it was a turbo? Those things are truly underappreciated...

You know weirdly my local junkyard was filled with Dodge 2.2 turbo cars on Saturday, all of which still has their engines. They're a good little Mitsubishi engine, the transmissions are kinda shitty if it isn't a manual though. Chrysler never did learn how to make a transmission

Didn't you almost buy one of these in Idaho for like $900?

I thought that the 3-speed Torqueflight automatics were pretty durable...?

The 727 and the 904? Ehhh, compared to the competition they're finicky and the design relying on bands for every ratio is weak. There's a reason Chrysler gave up and contracted all transmissions out to ZF, Aisin, and Allison now
