Any opinion on 9mm's

Im looking at a Glock 19 or 26 4th gen. Since I can shoot about any caliber without a problem, but I want a gun the wife can handle with her little hands, She picked up tha 19 with out a problem but the 26 is cool to me since it's smaller. And the 19 clips fit in the 26 anyways. Only other gun she felt comfortable handling was a Taurus 9mm slim. It's way cheeper than the Glocks. Any opinions?

 

At least look at the S&W M&P 4.5".

It has an three-size adjustable grip and ambidextrous mag release. Also a light rail.

You may like the glock better, but at least you did some comparison shopping...

 

love my beretta 92f 9mm. if it's only for your wife i wouldn't say getting her a cheaper gun is like buying her a knock off purse so you can get see where im going with this.. "save money when you can"

 

Ya teh salesman was only really doing his job trying to push the Glocks, I like them but I have read good reviews on the Taurus thats why I wanted to look at them and see if she could feel if it was a comfortable gun to her. I looked at a S&W too, but I would rather have a Glock just preferance. Any other Glock or Taurus owners?

 

I carry a Glock 26 in the warmer months, and it has been pretty great. Recoil is pretty light, and it has been super reliable. Accuracy is very good as well. I would personally would steer you away from Taurus, and towards the Glock, especially if this is a gun you (or wife) might call on to defend a life.

 

I'll second the M&P. The pick-your-size backstraps make for a nice grip when you find the size that's most comfortable.

 

The biggest gun you can bring to the fight and shoot well is the one to get.
BTW, its a magazine/mag, clips are for SKS'. They clip onto the rear of the cartridge's case

 

Thanks for bringing that up, I wanted to, but didn't want to come across as a ass. It just chaps me when folks say "how many does the clip hold".

 

I don't mean to come across as an ass either. There are people out there who will judge you on the nomenclature you use. Fore warned is fore armed. Educate yourself

 

a Glock feels awkward in my hands...i have 2 M&P's. i bought two full size mags for a M&P9 to put in my compact and some XGrip adapters....now i have a compact with the option of having a full size with 18 rounds of the compact size grip for conceal ability with 13rounds

 

Just make sure you practice with what you carry, how you carry it.

 

I like the Kahr for carry, but I LOVE my Beretta 92FS

 

I love my Khar CW9 as my daily carry piece and the G19 is just a great gun. I've put 1000s of round through it and it shoots really nicely.

 

in 9mm i like my taurus pt111 mill. and i have a nice keltec back up in 9mm

 

i love my glock 26. my only mod is a set of nightsites and i use it for my edc. i wear it in a crossbreed supertuck and no one knows i have it on even with a light t-shirt.

 

What does your crossbreed supertuck look like?

 

True dat... I carry a full-size Kimber .45 or a H&K USP in cooler/jacket weather, but it's time now to pocket the little KelTec .380 or Ruger LCP. I know not the best, but super easy to carry. I want to handle a Ruger LC9.

 

We like our glock 17. Between the wife and myself we have put a little over 15000 rounds in it with out any issues. I'm looking to get a 26 here in a few months. I had a Taurus 9mm before my Glock but it had issues jamming. We got rid of it for the Glock, best move we made.
