What is the cabon fiber backing? Faux or did you make one out of real carbon fiber?

I wasn't even thinking about skid plates. I gotcha now, yea I can see how that would be a pain in the ass.

Well, the Icon AAL was a huge success! I haul around my son's quarter midget race car in the bed of my Tacoma and the stock leaf springs sagged miserably. The race car is only 210 lbs! Wil the Icon AAL I still had a positive arch in the springs and the rear of the truck only dropped about 1/2". Very, very happy with this upgrade, it's like a new truck.

Here's a pic of the car since it was under a rain cover yesterday when I hauled it!

I had a custom bedside graphic made about 7 years ago, I'm looking to make another set for when i replace my bedsides. I don't think the guy i used is still doing them (shows last on here back in early April). Who still makes custom bedside graphics these days? I still have the files I made to send to the last guy.

Not so much what I did to it, but what it did to me.

Tacoma has become sentient and is telling jokes

Mine doesn't like to give me weather for my given area. It just defaults to a spot that may or may not be 50 miles away. No idea where it pulls its info from for that.

That does sound familiar. It was Cboy something or other i think. I know both he and the other guy I used were both very actively advertising for that service 7 years ago. I'll have to look him up.

Changed out the cabin filter and found this surprise. Guess the chipmunks moved on from my air filter and into the cabin filter. Just started using the AC and noticed it had a weird smell...but never smelled weird when the heat was on.

Anyone have a decent way to keep things out of the intake?

Thanks. I assume I can just wrap it around the intake under the cowling.

Now comes the complicated question - any idea what size bolt or fitting that would hold the cowling down? Noticed this jam is flapping around under the hood. Nothing hold it down on either side.

Figured it would be. Going to have to dig out the FSM and see if I can get a part number. Asking my local dealership to figure it out is the definition of insanity.

I'm guessing it is something like this - https://www.amazon.com/Push-Type-Retainers-Compatible-Toyota-76923-47010/dp/B01MU8OEKR

I got tired of replacing these type fasteners and went to jack-nuts.

Chopped my frame for a custom high clearance bumper with front hitch, made by Foothills Off Road Transformations. It’s steel tubing with aluminum plates, super light weight. Still need to powder coat the tubing black, brush the aluminum, properly mount my license plate, and hide the exposed stuff with some plastic sheeting. But very happy with how the bumper turned out.

Also swapped my headlights out for some retrofits from Teq customs
