What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

This is the mock up before the rest of bolts are in

 

New bumper and winch, I installed 882 springs last year so it actually rides smoother now. Just need to relocate washer fluid reservoir.

 

Not the funnest thing I've ever done, but it's done (except for bleeding the brakes)

No more "Load Sensing" Proportioning Valve stupidity.

 

Did my final test fit for my Relentless Fab bumper. Made the hoops myself. Now just need to throw the winch in it and have a fun time lifting it. Moments like this make me hate having 6in of lift. Lol

 

I meant to post this the other day, but I wrapped up the majority of revamped electrical system for both main and auxiliary. Came out much better than what I original had in the truck. Still a few things to eventually get around too, but that's a future me problem.

Thanks man! The big one for me is installing rock lights, chase lights, and wrap up the HAM radio install but I can get that all at a later date.

 

Fortunately for current day me, all that is done. But I'm sure future me has all sorts of problems waiting for him.


The rock lights are a little tedious... but totally worth it. Great for night wheeling, even better for some nice camp lights that don't burn the back of your eye balls.

 

Well for the first time in over a decade, I have a stock front AND rear bumper again. Also swapped from 12" to 9" shackles so I could accommodate said rear bumper. Another first-in-a-decade, I have a sway bar on and holy chit its sooo much nicer to drive haha.

 

Finally got my speakers and amp all set up and done. I definitely underestimated this job so big thanks to @Kwikvette and @soundman98 for their insight.

 

Installed the 333Fabrications billet steering rack clamp.

do you notice a difference when driving?

 

Today was a good day, turned boost up and solved a slipping clutch issue a simple way. This thing shits n gits on 9psi with quick spool enabled.

 

I hope you get it on a Dyno to get some numbers. Tyler told me you were too afraid to run the quarter this past weekend...

 

Yeah wasn't looking to destroy the clutch right before driving to Wyoming. But I guess it's okay now. Sucks the next test and tune is roll racing. I'll get some Dyno time for sure though, but it's costly per hour so I'm not looking to do all my tuning there, trying to have it mostly nailed out so I can make small planned changes rather than large unplanned ones and eat a ton of time.

 

What's your clutch fix?? Can't wait to see and hear it.

 

The fix is to have it be a dragging brake not a slipping clutch haha. Smell was the only symptom I was having, turns out that's what it was.
