I love Michelin tires. You just cannot wear them out. My Dodge Cummins 2500 came with Michelin M/S tires from the factory. At 108K miles, I finally replaced them (with an identical set of new Michelin M/S) because I was about to go huntin in a very rocky area in Colorado (been there before a few times) and the sidewalls looked like they were cracking, and I didn't want to risk multiple blow outs and a very long walk to the closest town..... the OEM tires still had close to 1/2 the tread life left at 108K miles, and 8 years on the truck.

My dad told me a story of a Ford Ranchero he owned in the 1950's that had Michelin tires on it, he ran them for 10+ years, sold the car to a friend, who proceeded to run them for many more years....

Only reason I don't have them on my Tacoma is they don't have an aggressive enough tread pattern for what I want. Otherwise I would but nothing else.

Open, but mixed reports on the run, water levels, etc. We're kinda biding our time on this one ... see how it comes together. Might end going for the second run later in July. :notsure:

Checking in with the 50+ after a long weekend. First time I've been off from work on Juneteenth, was a beautiful day AND I got lots done in the yard. Also made points at home because I did a 20oz NY in a cast iron for the wife. (OK, she gave ALMOST half) Was hoping the contractor would get the texture on the bathroom so I could paint, but he didn't come until after 3, so guess who gets to rush home and paint tonight so everything can go back together in the next day or two?

Will be covering the walls/ceiling in "cool rain" later.

    Pic didn't go the first time . . .

    Geez… Canada just can’t catch a break
Wildfires still raging and it snowed and rained yesterday and the night before. Now several areas are under flood warnings. Fire crews are being rescued because they don’t have cold weather gear. Banff and Jasper Parks are busy rescuing backcountry campers and roads are closed because the plows got stuck.
And that’s just the tidbits I’ve run across in the news so far!

gonna say it again @Cwopinger … good thing you postponed!

I drove through there years ago when i was moving to AK. Always wanted to go back. We were in a hurry because there were fires that summer too and we needed to get past a certain area that have been closed down or risk having to take the detour. You don't want to know what that involved. I was finding it hard to keep my eyes on the road - I kept getting distracted by the mountains!

Hopes and prayers brother. Last time I went to Ketchikan it was late King season. My adopted sister warned me that I might get shut out of the run. Figured I’d take my chances…worst case scenario I’d go out for halibut. Ended up working in my favor though because they declared a terminal fishery on my first day out so every king was legal.

3 more days and I will be out camping myself. Hopefully you can get back out soon. Headed toward the coast this time which worked out because it’s snowing up on the pass today. Going to be a sloppy mess for the next few days. Have fun
