Even if they did float to the surface and are floating around, they cannot open the submersible from inside so the oxygen issue is still at play.

Yeah that's even worse. And obviously if they're floating they don't have any operational beacon. I know it sent one ping right as comms cut, but that was it. Awful way to go. Worse if you're floating on the surface.

@Kwikvette @Wulf I think I'm gonna order these and cryo-treat my front diff. Do you think I need ARP hub studs too?

    I definitely would.

You need to upgrade your driveshafts too while you're at it cause you know, weakest link and all.

Just forego the whole house idea; invest in climate-controlled storage but only after fully upgrading everything and having it encased in resin so it'll never rust or anything

I am completely jealous of your turbski setup!
What was the fix for the slipping clutch issue?

Thanks! It was fixing the front brake that I was unaware was dragging haha. Brakes and clutch smell nearly identical. Turns out stopping hard in the city after doing a pull exacerbates that smell a lot. I'm very happy that my clutch doesn't need a change just yet (it's only 2 months old). I really need to find my GoPro to get some videos of it in action. The sounds alone are a good time :)

I had thought that clutch was basically new! Would have been really weird for it to be slipping already.

Being on the Front Range here makes it hard to go the turbo route, but damned if I don’t still want to! Seems so much better than the SC for boost. In the meantime, I’ll just keep lurking the Haltech thread and try to get smarter on tuning and stuff. I find all of that pretty fascinating.

I'm sneaking pretty close to that clutch's rated max, that was why I even went there in my brain when I smelled it.

It's fun stuff and I have to say if you're going to go forced induction there's no better way than the turbo/Haltech combo. Don't get me wrong the SC/Haltech combo is still miles ahead of stock computer with SC, but the returns diminish fast. It just doesn't have much to give over 7psi and it makes so much heat doing even that. Plus it's taking some of that generated horsepower to make its power as well. If it was intercooled it would have a lot more potential for the price in my eyes. I glad you find it interesting, I kinda wondered if anyone who didn't have a Haltech observed our ramblings over there. What's the barrier to entry on the Front Range?
