Darrel did a nice job. He did the tuck in the stock location opposed to the reach around on the transfer case. Looks super clean. I wish he had tucked it up a tad higher because it just clears my RCI skid but he said it’s a balancing act with clearing the heat shield above and the crossmember. I’m Very happy with it for $75 and a 30 minute job.

Apologies for not taking better pics when it was on the lift.

Since it was riding close I cut a spacer out of some 1/8” flat bar just to be extra safe it doesn’t rub.

In all it was a super easy experience. He knew exactly what I was looking for so I didn’t have to explain and show abunch of pics or anything. Dropped the truck off, walked up the street for a cup of coffee, and it was done within 5 minutes of me getting back.

Just a heads up they don’t take appointments, first come first served. I showed up about 10 minutes after they opened at 8am and they took me right in.

Thanks for all the info @plurpimpin! Looks great and definitely can't argue with that price. Glad they recognized the job you were asking them to do as well.

On a related note, I'm interested in trying to design a high clearance transmission cross member, because man does it stick down. Not sure if anyone has tried such a thing yet but seems like an interesting challenge.

I had mine done but it doesn’t clear the skid. Haven’t taken it back yet.

    RCI.

I like this shop but they don’t exactly effuse extreme attention to detail or excessive cognitive ability. You get the saw and some welds and it’s cheap.

Brian at Canby muffler quoted me $100-150 this morning, if it helps. He's always done good work for me in the past.

I might give them a shot, you had yours done there? Pics?

Mine is just shy of allowing me to bolt on the RCI TC skid, didn't get quite enough tuck.

Ahh, sorry I only swung in to ask him about it since he's on my way into work & I'm looking at the RCI setup as well.
