Hmmm, 43+tax OTD for a 2022 with 8,800 miles on it. TRD offroad, long bed, and MGM (my 2nd favorite color).



Also a DCSB on another local dealer's lot. 2018 with 50K miles for 36K. Top one has better tires, so that'd save me a little money.

replace pax spindle
replace tow harness
replace windshield (hella busted)

If trade-in:
Replace windshield

Thinking of trading in since the premium i'd get for private party sale would be a wash likely with extra repairs, and offsetting the 9.9% sales tax offset on trade-in.

Both involve tearing all the aftermarket stuff off of my truck with the exception of the fog lights and sliders. Have the replacement strips to transfer the prinsu rack over, center console insert to replace the one with a gaping hole in it for @XPOTRPR 's baller switchpro mount bezel, etc.

 

I have a center console with a smaller (1.5x1.5) hole if you need it..

 

I got it off the BST a few months ago, plus the weatherstrips, etc. I knew I was gonna replace the truck eventually so I've been squirelling away the replacement parts as I find them for cheap.

 

Ok. I have a spare good one that im using for when i do the FJ tcase swap. But the cut one i was going to use as a mock/test before I cut the good one lol.

Im sad that you're thinking about a turd gen. If you wait for the 4th to come out, the 3rd might drop in price. But maybe a Rav4 adventure might be more up your alley?

Well they don't make 2.5 gens anymore so I'm kinda stuck on that front.

4th gens may hit the 3rd gen resale numbers but the 2.5s asking prices are still going strong despite being almost 10yrs old now, soI don't think it'll drop nearly as much as people think they will.

Rav4 TRD or Adv is a good contender if I decide I want to stay in the Seattle area. I'm still not sold on that fact long term though. Not really sure I'll end up back in UT, but even if I go to the East side of WA, its a very different place.

 

can you part out your truck and return to mostly stock? That might get some mpg back

 

It def will, but then I still have a 130k mile truck. Granted its a yota so not worried as much as if I had a ford/chevy, but still...
