Oh, I remember(vaguely), that the SS and WS6 were governed @168 specifically, soap not to upset the balance, of the Vette being the "flagship ".

But, a 6mt SS or WS6 is infinitely more fun to abuse. The Vette was better on the truck of course

I don't know about the limiter. I had it up to 160 once and backed off. On paper, the WS6 has 320 hp, but supposedly it was closer to the 350 the LS-1 Vette had. The Vette is lighter though. I think the drivetrains were basically the same. Many of the engine mods were just parts from the LS-6. I think the first mod I did, I found on a Corvette site to remove the annoying skip shift function on the 6spd.

I don't know if I mentioned my new to us (used) 2020 RAV4 XLE. It's actually optioned more like a Limited. It's a whole different world than her 2007 Highlander. It has Toyota factory remote start, which is pretty rare. Heated seats, heated steering wheel, really nice entertainment/app unit, BSM, remote opening tailgate, independent HVAC controls, LDA with the steering assist, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers.

I finally got to drive it last weekend when we went to a wedding in Rowley.

Of course the Cruise Control and stereo controls are totally different than what I'm used to.

Off lease with 26K miles on it.

Pretty amazing what they can do nowadays with vehicles. I joke when I drive my wife's 14 LE "my truck doesn't have all this fancy stuff like yours, you are expensive!"..which really hers just has power windows/locks/seats and cruise control off my head that stands out to me. Oh, projector headlights too. I keep telling her I'll get her the heated driver's seat if she wants it, since she loved it in the rental I had 2 years ago.

I was a bit less than impressed with the headlights, which aren't LED. Other than that though, it's really nice. It's black, BTW. She wanted just about any color BUT white. Which I guess worked out since white seems to have a peeling problem according to the thread about peeling paint.

She really, really, really, likes the 8 way power adjustable driver's seat. The passenger gets the basic manual seat. The only thing missing from that is the seat position memory. That has two buttons so it can be set up for two different drivers. Plus, it can be linked to the remotes so that the car remembers the settings per driver.

I wonder how much of this the '24 Tacoma has? BTW, I'd swear that I saw one driving through Stoughton about half an hour ago.

SiriusXM must be getting desperate. I got an oil change at the dealer last month and today I got a letter offering a free three month trial. No credit card needed. Just in time for our road trip to South Carolina.

Are they certified to be Green Giant Arborvitae propagated from the original stock developed by the United States National Arboretum ?

I mean this in the nicest way - how old are you? I only know one person my age who likes Sirius. I use Spotify and am a fan. We pay, we can skip songs, make playlists, no ads (i know Sirius doesn't have them or only has super limited and targeted ads).

I gotta be careful saying "my age" now. I'm no longer one of the yutes.

+2 for Spotify, every so often they'll run a deal and you get 3 months of premium for like a dollar or something stupid. We get Hulu for free with out account too, icing on the cake

Replaced the skylight in the camper tonight. Finally had some time without rain where I could get it done. Also used 4 tubes of caulking on it tonight. Still have more to do and more parts on the way

I usually use Pandora as it was the best option a few years ago when I was looking for streaming services. Actually, I used it about 15 years ago on my desktop computer at work. It was free then, and I pay about $5.00 a month now. I'll listen to XM when it's free and free includes their streaming app, which is partnered somehow with Pandora. Satellite radio is one way only, which is a relic from the past.

I've also ripped all of my CDs to my mp3s and have them on my phone and desktop.

Depending on what you listen to on XM there are super annoying and stupid ads. Or there were the last time I listened which was in 2020 which was the last time they gave me a free six month trial.

I may be old, but I've been using computers of various types since the late 1980s. I used to build them and install the OS back when that was a thing. I used to be pretty good with DOS, when that was a thing.

I told her I'd put the LEDs in hers if she wanted, so far she's fine as they are. Hers is Blue Crush though

Very cool, hers doesn't have memory of course either. When I drive it the only thing I do is move the seat back on the rails just so it's less for her to reconfigure.

    Where in SC you going?
