On highway drives longer than 30 minutes my TPMS warning light will come on and when I check the pressure screen the tires are all blank. A few minutes later the warning light goes out and the tire screen shows the pressure value for each tire. This on and off indication happens periodically during the drive about every 15 to 20 minutes. It doesn't seem to happen in town even on 30 minutes drives.

Is one of the sensors bad or need a new battery? Or, is the receiver glitching? Is this a common thing?

    Thank you

I've noticed my TPMS might have an issue reading in cold weather. When temps are below 45 degrees the dash indicator will be off and each sensor showing dashes. Sometimes it will even flash then remain on indicating loss of sensor data.

I know the lbs are good as the alarm is set to 32lbs and I typically keep 38lbs in all four corners.

I'm told by the dealership once once sensor is lost then you get no readings on any of them so it might be hard for the owner to determine which one is bad without tech stream.

I know I'm due to replace them soon, they are the original sensors and are now 7 years old. I plan on replacing them the next tire changeout.

Do you have any aftermarket mods; wheels, different tires installed, etc?

First, open your OM and read what the small TPMS button by your left knee does, and follow the instructions. If that doesn’t solve the problem, you will need to have the sensors checked with the correct electric tool and the trucks system as well.

My truck just started having the same problem with my TPMS light coming on after 30 minutes. Did you come up with a solution?

I did not change anything. It just started not reading the sensors.

If you have a 2016 with the stock sensors, you should get them read and you may find out one or more have low or dead batteries.

I went to discount tire and they checked each sensor. My sensor on my drivers side rear was dead. I had all 4 wheels replaced.
