Pretty sweet. Has your boy asked what are the biggest tires he can run without rubbing?

Not yet. I do want to upgrade the tires at some point though, like cut up a bike tire and glue it on so there’s more traction.

FYI shooting watermelon with 45-70 way more effect on target than pumpkins had. Watermelon is 1x use so not super cost effective lolol

Hope all the fathers in here had a nice Father’s Day. I spent the day at the playground, Lowe’s, organizing the garage (since we just moved in a week ago) and washing the truck. Felt good to get the road trip grime off.

We ran into a bear in Fay Canyon Sedona. It's one canyon over from Boynton up North West of town area.
Little juvenile about 150 to 200 pounds. Fay is a box canyon and at one point had us cornered in the canyon with no where to go but up. Eventually we got around him and hiked out but he stayed 30 to 40 yards behind us the whole way out. Fastest 1.5 mile hike I've ever done backwards with a 357 unholstered.

As we were coming out the local hippies and crystal worshipers were upset that I had a firearm and had <GASP> assaulted the bear by pointing it at him. Good luck Moonbeam. I hear patchouli and sandalwood are great seasonings. As we were in the truck calling AZG&F to report the bear, the Peace Patrol was calling Sedona PD to have me arrested. I told them I was going to The Creekside Cafe for breakfast and a Bloody Maria and they could have the cops arrest me there after I was done with my bacon and eggs. No police ever showed up.

People these days are so used to picking up the phone and having someone solve their life issues that they have lost the critical skills - even thought skills - to solve issues. Hell, half the cars on the road don't come with a spare tire and that doesn't seem to bother anyone.

I enjoyed this story. While I don't recommend volunteering that you're gonna go drink whilst carrying/in possession of a firearm, but the seasoning line and Peace Patrol made for quality lolz.

Oh no - Left the Magnum in the truck for breakfast, behind the rear passenger seat at that. I don't drink AND posses at the same time.
And it was one drink, over an hour or more, with food, and I'm portly.

Was in Old Town Scottsdale for a pub crawl one night. Had five drinks in about two hours. Scottsdale PD had a booth on the corner doing breathalyzer testing for free - just to create awareness. I wasn't driving any way (Uber got me there and back) so I took the test. 0.02 after 5 drinks. Didn't feel impaired. Didn't blow impaired.

Funny thing was, I was going to limit myself to 6 drinks that evening. Since I was only at 0.02 after 5, I went to 8 and then went back looking for the booth to see where I was. They were gone. :-(
    No firearms that evening.

I mostly just wanted to comment on your hippie burns.

But sounds like you'll fit in well on a Monday meet. :fenforcer::drunk:

That is a great story! Also why I avoid sedona. Not cause of the bears but the hippies.

    Yup

Multiple times I have been asked how to see a vortex in Sedona..
