Not always true. Didn’t have to weigh mine when I “imported” it from out of state.

Looking at pictures, I think it's the main leaf, the second leaf with the front wrap, and the skyjacker, then the overload. So my only option is to go to a 2 lead pack. it'll squat with a load but that's fine.

    Yeah probably.

You'll probably want to add a traction bar to your build. 400hp is definitely gonna cause some axle wrap with those weak leafs hahaha

Yeah that's been one thing I've been exploring. Wouldn't you know it!? No one builds lots for first gen tacomas! So I need to figure out something close from caltracks and modify it to work. Or the other option is to go spring under axle and put some slapper bars on it. That's Mike's era of tech there.

Don't do slappers, even old timers that still race now can tell you they never really worked haha. Caltracks is an options. You'd only have to extend the bar if you found something with the same perch width.

    Budbuilt makes one: https://budbuilt.com/19955-2004-Tacoma-Traction-Bar_p_601.html

Think some other random company makes one too.

Buds is a pretty odd design. Not sure I completely understand how it mounts but not relevant as it says on that page they are not available anymore.

    Oh ha didn't see that.

They clamped to the cross bar the holds the CB and then bolted to the diff housing.

Either way. Not hard to make your own.

No I don't think it is outside of my capabilities. I figure mount to the bottomed plate voa the ubolts and weld a hanger far enough forward of the leaf hanger on the frame and it would be set. I want to take some measurements and call caltracks to see if they have something close that could work. I'm torn, I don't think this axle housing is the long term plan so I don't want to invest too much time making something too custom for it, especially since as a stock unit it does have some value being an e-locker setup. For instance I should take the bed off, weld in a cross member and new mounts to the axle to relocate the shocks, but that's a lot of work for something that's gonna be gone soon anyways. Hopefully I can fall into an 8.8 sooner then try to 4link it.

Have been planning a trip from KY through Wyoming and Montana that we're taking off on in a couple weeks. Getting down to the fine tunes. Just wondering if there are any cool spots that you all enjoy, like to visit, see, etc. Near the Colorado and Wyoming boarder while we work our easy up towards the Teton/Yellowstone area. Thank you all for any great info!

Anyone remember what the "go to" Walbro pump is used for a supercharger setup? I know I bought it but can't remember what it was and am trying to figure out if it can supply the fuel I need. The other side of that is where is the fuel pressure regulator on the Tacoma. I don't see one under the hood so is it built into the pump/tank? I need to feed 60psi and am in the dark on if what I have in place will work

was the 190LPH one. But don't get it. Get the AEM one, its MUCH quieter and also more fuel.

    Yes it's in the tank.

FPR is on the back of the head on the driver side. Its a 40psi I think or 43. You need 60? thats a ton of pressure for fuel.

The Snowys and the Sierra Madres are worth checking out.

There's still snow in the high country that might impact how much you can do in either of those ranges, but it's melting fast.

The Walbro should be able to supply the volume but the pressure isn't there. I'll have to look again tomorrow but the fuel lines ran ran from rubber to hardline and then some coils and down the firewall. I must have missed the fpr in that section, but hard to tell where.

60psi isn't that much more when you think about it feeding 8cyl at a higher rpm than what the 5vz drinks. A few AN fittings and a summit fpr should be easy enough. This weekend is the last run with the 5vz down the strip and the V8 will be built and ready for paint. Getting close!

Fpr is literally bolted to the fuel rail. It won't work with any other setup. You should first find out if your LS is using a return style or a returnless fuel rail and then I can recommend where to go from there.

@Blackdawg all GM fuel systems run at 58-60psi stock these days

See you're in steamboat springs area. We thought about coming towards that way to go up into Wyoming. Somewhere along the central part of the State west of the rockies. Maybe see some wild horses in some of that central area.

If you want to see wild horses the McCullough peaks by Cody or the Pryor mountains are where to go.

would think you'd want to use the one that came with the LS. Or get an Aftermarket one that's potentially variable to suit any future needs(boost??:D )
