    If the freon is out due to a leak it's out lol. There's nothing left to evacuate except any residual PAG oil

    I don't think I vacuumed mine before changing parts, only after.

    I'm not any kind of HVAC pro, maybe @Sperrunner can provide the proper info

    That's nice, mine is missing the t-case skid ever since it went to a shop before auction, pretty sure they drained the t-case and forgot to put it back

    Thanks!

    That sucks about your skid, but I doubt either of us were missing much not having it. Pretty thin piece of steel I'd assume?

    Yeah it's just a tin deal from what I can tell, never seen one in person but I guess it has the skid portion (just so stuff slides off rather than hanging on the cases weird shape) and a reinforcement portion for the bolts so they don't tear out.

    @Speedytech7
    @Wulf

    Metaltech wants $80 for their u bolts, and White Knuckle won't respond about selling me a set.

    Also seems no one on mud wants to share the dimensions for their custom ordered u bolts...it's as if hiding the holy grail. :jerkoff:

    With that said, this was what I had in mind for mounting; a plate on each side to sandwich the frame but with square tube that'll bolt up against the rear of the skid plate.

    20230621_143715.jpg

    Seeing how I nailed the bracket dimensions perfectly, I may still want to go with the U bolt method on one side to attach to the bracket.

    Any vendor I should check out for a strong, single u bolt? Are they measured the same as other bolts in terms of strength?

    There's a tractor supply but not sure what type they use in terms of strength (not to mention limited supply).

    Got a spring maker near you? The local leaf spring maker here just makes ubolts exactly as you ask for them

    Tractor store is a good idea

    Do you have any local trailer shops? They can bend up custom u bolts for cheap
