yea gloss or satin should shed dirt and muck easier than a matte or softer finish

Maybe for a desert truck, but for a crawler that doesn't sound like a good option to me. Can't touch up powder coat without looking like poo

Anyone ever consider air cure cerakote? Abot the same cost (or cheaper) than Steel It, just not weldable.

Cerakote is good shit, but from my experience it needs to be baked to gain durability. The same company makes Durakote, which is an air dry that doesn't require baking, but I don't have any experience with it.

Ive done a bunch of headers and stuff with the air cure (glacier series) and seems to hold up. Although I do think the baked ones are much better for durability. Maybe next time I do some air cure Ill try it on something that will get abused.

I mean it’s got 86 yota brake calipers for the pinions, so aside from the 6.0 LQ9 with ported/polished heads, TH400, and rear steer it’s pretty much a stock Toyota.

It’s amazing how much crap you have to cut out and work around to stuff 42’s and tons and still have only 3-4” uptravel haha I sit low as shit with 9” uptravel in the front/rear now. It’s not even a fair comparison though. It’s apples to oranges. The taco was insanely more capable with tons though.

I think a guy on here is making / selling some replacement buckets for 8” and 10” shocks. They have a bypass mount built in and make the UCA parallel with the frame instead of at an angle. Also used two smaller bolts for the UCA instead of the king oem one.

i forget who it was, did a quick browse and couldn’t find the thread. Think it was Zona Motorsports or something.

    Thanks.

Finally fitting my Live Valve shocks and definitely need to raise the tower a few inches even tho they are only 8in travel.

A boxed setup like that was very much along the lines of what I was thinking.

Definitely I wouldn't want to pull all the anti-dive out of the geo!

If anything I'd want to add some wheel recession to the LCA.

Could try talking to Mike at Warfab. At one point he was trying to come up with something. Maybe have some old patterns or the cad files. Just a thought
