Put in all that work, didn’t complete street legality with a front license plate :boink:

Kidding… really nice build. Well done.

I would love to see a state trooper’s response to that.

I know. God forbid I encounter a trooper. He may write me a ticket. But, I may just go another 8 years and 10 more cars with no plate and never get pulled over. I like to live on the edge.

I have nothing but respect for law enforcement. When you drive a 2000 crown vic blacked out w no front tag you're fair game. When you are driving an obviously custom built vehicle they are gonna pull you over to see it, not harass you. If you're lucky enough to encounter "clueless super rookie", you get to practice your audit skills on that misinformed and undertrained child and maybe teach him something.

    x2

I personally prefer to run the plate and fly under the radar. But I also don’t drive a heavily modified “barely Tacoma”

Isn’t it ironic what the Crown Vic has turned into? It’s almost exclusively driven by cop wannabes with a few old people sprinkled in.

One of, if not the greatest american cars reduced to candy paint and 24's or the cop package with a blue driver side door parked in front of a double wide in spring hill. sad.

Just pity to find nothing better to do than meet their quotas for the month. There's more serious crime occurring and yet they rather pull a vehicle over for a burnt out bulb or missing plate. Bla bla bla vehicle code violation and it's nonsense policing IMO. Is it that dangerous to other driver to drive without a front plate? That's the same saying as someone putting on a clear plate cover and still get pullover because they have a clear plate cover. LAME!

I think, as with most things, there’s a balance between the tough job that police have, protecting themselves and the public, and rights of us individual citizens.

I don’t have a front license plate on either of my two cars. But I can see why that could be a problem if there is a real criminal, and the witness only saw the front of the vehicle.

One of my pet peeves is dark tinted windows. Makes me uncomfortable just driving next to one. I can only imagine how uncomfortable a police officer would be walking up to a car with dark tinted windows, not rolled down.

in the meantime, I’ve been lurking on this thread, but I’ll chime in that YotaX is a master at project building, and should probably have his own TV show! ha ha.

can’t wait to see the finished product in person. Especially on the trail!

what say you guys on a meet up in North Jersey in late August? I’m recovering from wrist surgery. I won’t be ready until then.

I like tint but I only match the rear. You can see through it no problem but with ceramic it blocks most of the uv.
