The K-car was never intended to be a luxurious vehicle, but this is probably the most basic and no-frills example I have ever seen! It was ordered without air-conditioning and a radio!

 

Like I said above, this one does not A/C or a radio!

 

Yet another 1981 Plymouth Reliant K!

This is oddest-optioned 3rd Gen Camaro that I have ever seen! It is a 1983 Z28, and until I ran the license plate through Carfax I thought it was a base model because the owner told it was; I also neglected to notice the badge on the rear bumper...

What makes this car oddly-optioned is that it has no A/C, no intermittent wipers, and an AM radio. At the same time, it has power windows and a tilt steering column! You will also notice the Z28 logo on the dash that I somehow missed when taking the pictures...

When you really think about it, this 1983 Camaro is spec'd out not unlike a 1967-1969 Camaro would have been. The owner told me that it had a V8 and a posi rear, but that it was a base model; I still can't believe that I didn't notice the "Z28" insignia!

 

If I were ordering a brand new Camaro Z28 in 1983, and was looking to save money by not getting certain features, I would have done without power windows before I sacrificed A/C and intermittent wipers, especially if I was ponying up the money for the Z28 trim!

 

I always felt like they were trying to use design from a Mirada on the K Car

 

This 1983 Z28 is even more oddly equipped than 1982 Berlinetta (which also lacked A/C and intermittent wipers, but did have an AM/FM stereo with cassette), in my opinion!

What really takes the cake is that this car has no A/C and no intermittent wipers, but whoever ordered it paid extra for a power seat!

 

The car does have power windows, but it has manual mirrors, and I believe it has manual locks as well...

 

$25k-$30k asking.
Still rather have a Supra.
Maybe an RX-7 but you don’t just “fix” a rotors motor.

Still think an early 2000’s F150 Lightning was a sleeper.
It didn’t take much to make the run really good.
Smaller pulley, better intercoller, and a tune and you had something.

 

MK4 Supra’s are unattainable. MK3 is the way to go. I would buy a clean one for the right price.

 

Seriously, with a V8, 4-speed manual, and posi rear, this is a throwback to 1960s muscle cars!

While were on the topic of oddly-optioned domestic vehicles with no A/C, I figured I'd share this 1977 Buick LeSabre with everybody; @Gwyns04 treated myself and @Stitchgirl90 to ice cream at Coldstone for Amanda's birthday, and I saw this guy in the parking lot of the gym in the shopping center. I drove over and we got to talking...
