When my Goodyears were new, the speedo was reading about 3% slower than GPS on the truck and phone. With 16K miles and tread half gone, they now match.

I was seriously considering the Wildpeaks in a 265/70r16.. good to know they are actually a bit smaller. I'm looking for a slight bump in diameter without need for a lift... yet.

I'm north of Warren and had no issues with tall snow drifts and a few days of horribly plowed/packed ice-covered county roads this past winter. I was using 4-Hi when needed and only felt the rear scoot a couple of times. Still have to slow down plenty early for the turns but never felt out of control... Kinda-sorta felt bad for several ditched SUVs and a couple of larger trucks. Wife was amused by the grin and said I shouldn't be having fun.

The Goodyears will work well for the 1st few thousand miles and then plan for something better.

Not to further muddy this thread... but since the stock Goodyear Wranglers are giving up the ghost so early (I actually skidded at start this morning, yeah I was hustling as a storm was coming - but c'mon, I'm in a Tacoma - tires need replacing!) I called my tire guy this morning about Wildpeaks. He told me "You need to look at Falken Rubitreks". I was like "huh"? Never heard of them (Tire Rack doesn't carry them, but other places do - they're not even that new. There are reviews on TW). Sure enough, he was right. Virtually the same tire as Wildpeaks AT3W (Falken themselves say this), but a bit more highway friendly (pretty much all reviews come down to this)... BUT THE PRICE - Amazon - $151 a tire 265/75r16. My tire shop guy, "That's below my cost". We were both surprised (Over $300 cheaper than his quote for 4 - which is inline w/ most other sources). So cheap, and well reviewed, I ordered a 5th just for the spare.

Again, semi stunned in this inflationary economy....

same thing happened to my wife, i measured the tread on the good 3 ones, found one on ebay used (there are 100's) that was same tread depth and brand and got it in 3 days. we just limited the usage on the spare for that time but saved a ton.....up north there are alot of used tire companies that ship them all over the country......or you can buy a new one and get it shaved to match others (better than buying 4)

Absolutely loved my AT3's in the winter. However, I will add, they worked very well on my last truck but not quite as well on my Tacoma.

I have about 70k on mine right now and still have about 6/32nds of tread left. Tread wear is great and winter traction is excellent! However, for whatever reason, this set of tires has felt squirrelly on concrete. Not as in it loses traction, just more that it almost feels like you're intermittently moving around on ice even though you aren't losing traction at all. I've had a couple of alignments done as well as one rebalancing. My toe was recently out of whack so that didn't help me. It also doesn't help that my dealer loves to overinflate them. Not quite as smooth as what I remember of the stock tires. But, I still recommend them. I had a nail in there recently and didn't notice until well after the head had worn off. I kept driving it for another couple hundred miles (work week) before the dealership removed it. It hadn't been leaking air so I didn't want to risk it. Turns out, it didn't make it all the way through so there was no air loss.

Very good. Thanks. Now I'm aware of the "shaving" - but then, she was traveling and two states away from home and there... rock and a hard place.

I've got the same Wrangler Territories as the OP on my '23. My truck is run heavily on road with only an occasional visit to gravel or fire roads. Only 2k miles on them so far so I can't evaluate wear; but they do appear to have fairly shallow tread depth. So far they seem to behave well enough but I generally have an aversion to the oem offering when I get a new vehicle. I expect to switch to Michelin Defenders once the $150 set of 4 sale returns to Costco.

My internal debate is whether to continue running the 265/70/R16s or downsize to 245/75/R16s. Virtually the same diameter but the 245 Michelins will drop 2 pounds each relative to the Wrangers. I don't see the 3/4 inch reduction in width to be significant.

I'm not that aggressive, and haven't had this issue with any other rear wheel drive vehicle I've driven, including my 2010 taco.

Drove about 500 miles today, front right (worn tire) was causing wandering, but I was still feeling the same shimmy effect from the right rear. I shpuld have performed a chalk test to see what psi I needed to even out the visible center cupping. Suspecting a worn/failed shock on the right rear. Will see if I can get the spare tire mounted on the aluminum wheel for my drive back this weekend, and possibly an alignment check.

I have a review for the Goodyear Wrangler AT w/Kevlar, they're junk. Mine were new take offs from a 2023 TRD, really only bought them to get the wheels but the tires were new so figured I've give them a try. I just returned from a run to Toroweap Point and lost one tire, nice size split right in the middle of the tread. I've run the AZ strip many times with the Hankook Dynapros that I took off that had ~60k on them, never an issue and on much harder trails than what we just ran. These are going to the wayside... back to the Dynapro for me...

I rode mine until replacement time since I am becoming a cheap bustard.
Got 43k miles out of them

Thanks for all the input. I read some similar bad reviews and experiences elsewhere before I went on an elk hunt in Colorado this September. I got nervous about the stock tires and upgraded to the Goodyear Ultraterrains. Found them on a good sale and was able to sell the Wranglers for a good price on Facebook.

It was a good call because we got into some of the worst trails I’ve ever seen and they performed beautifully. No problems at all with those off road and they are super quiet on the highway for an all terrain.

My ‘22 OR came with Duratracs, E rated. I rotate them in the driveway every 5,000 miles (at oil change time). They are wearing well. I’m at 21K miles.

Looking into it more, I can't even find the (looking at the sidewall) 2022 style Goodyear Wrangler AT Territory tires, not on Goodyear site either...

They were an ok Kevlar "Highway tire", but didn't have much bite off road. I switched mine out and sold them off while they were still fairly new.

Even though my Duratracs are C load, I've had no off road punctures or issues, and they've been great in the winter too.

Just a little too aggressive for most people, for on roading.....

This is what prompted me to start this thread. There’s barely anything out there about them. Really strange. I could just tell they had a soft compound and shallow tread depth, which made me a little anxious about doing anything serious with them.

The new Kevlar Territory ATs that came with my 2022 TRD OR I've actually been pretty happy with for a stock tire. I've snow wheeled and rock crawled with them on grades that would spook most people on some pretty sharp rocks. The traction is pretty good, I run into clearance issues way earlier than traction issues. And they have a fairly aggressive sidewall tread pattern and run smooth on the highway. The key is just not to spin your tires on sharp rocks with them. They are C rated. I have minor hydroplaned on them in recent miles with tread worn a bit but it was ridiculously crazy rain.

Crawling up tough parts until you can't and then turning on the rear locker really shows you how much lockers improve things.. I have 16k miles on these tires.. they were free rubber so I will probably use them for another 5-10k before I upgrade to 33" pizza cutters and a lift. I've run some moderately difficult Jeep and UTV trails just fine and crossed some intimidating mud pits with no issue, a lot of it is just driving skills and know how to pick a line... they aren't world beaters but they are a perfectly fine tire.
