On another note, you know of any shops near us that make U bolts?

I've already tried 3 different trailer companies near me, not to mention 1 shop where they get their hardware from.

 

Make? Not sure now. So you looking for a specific length/size?

 

Looking online, no one has an off the shelf set that has a diameter of 6 1/2" with a height of 3", square bend.

That's of course, an estimate within 1/8" of what I need.

U bolts that fit those parameters are round bent, and I can place an order but I'd rather deal locally first.

If not local, then I'll just do a bracket on each side and run a bolt on top and bottom to sandwich them together.

 

30" total 15.5 is for the distance of the front not including the front mounting tab.

Does this make more sense?

So, keeping those angles similar to each other (both the 19.75" long side as well as the short side) I came up with 108 degrees.

Also, the top corners all look like they incorporate a 1" radius to get rid of those sharp points. Would you want something similar?
