What’d you think of the Cruiser I posted above?

Read above - good mileage but looks like it's hard a harsher life

    Ok

I did order some carriage bolts for cheap with a 3/8" square width (size I used in the skid) so we'll see if those work out well with the slots I made :fingerscrossed:

Oh sorry I missed this. I’ve talked to him before and I think those off roading pics are just from a few trips to an CampGruber ORV, which I’ve been to as well. He’s in Broken Arrow, OK so there’s only so much wheeling around there. He says he’s taken care of a lot of the major items, but yea there could be a lot of other stuff that comes up. @Speedytech7 IIRC the 93s had ECM issues and archaic PAIR valve that’s easy to screw up?

It’s just been frustrating not being able to take the Taco on trips when friends are visiting or whatever due to the lack of space.

It's actually a good thing when you kind of know the owner already. They tend to tell you more about things they fail to mention in their ad (not to say their intent is malicious, just easy to forget things).

If only they had lots of batteries down there to help them charge their submarine.

Yeah I can't wait to carry little dude with me

Once he's old enough to really not get bothered by the bumps, I'll be taking him up to the mountain nearby whenever my wife is at work

Yea I’d plan on putting away 1000 bucks every month for maintenance. Gotta be prepared for big ticket items like a head gasket. He does say the rear main or upper pan seal is leaking, but he says the HG isn’t leaking at all.

@Speedytech7 is it easy to add a mechanical temp gauge to a 93?

I don't think a pair valve has ever broken, they're just reed valves, like hardly any parts. Even if they do break nothing happens. The ECUs sometimes have a power fault but it doesn't affect drivability, just leaves the CEL on

Good to be prepared; you're going into it next time assuming you'll need to address big issues?

    If so, that's good.

Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Really for the sake of reliability, comfort, and being financially smarter why not just get a 3rd or 4th Gen 4Runner?

When apps/services have an outage that affects end users we get the whole tech org together to talk about what happened, how it was fixed, and how we're supposed to avoid that in the future

It's the best. My son's almost 3 now and he cracks UP on whoops and big bumps.
