Just saw it, thanks. Oof, that recent update from Pelagic Research Services, "the company said its "focus right now is on the families of those on the Titan and for their tragic loss"."

I bought a set of wheels that looked like those when I first got the Tacoma. They would warp it if you looked at them wrong. I quickly unloaded them for a $200 loss.

    Well, done for the day

One is fully welded up and cleaned (sold), other will be partially welded (just cooling down) and I cut another two sets

One set is called for so I'll have one up for sale in my ad possibly

He told me he was looking for a later model Tundra anyway, but that he’d let me know if nothing else came up. My truck is pretty well suited to the terrain here and I’m not sure I’d be ready to give it up anyway.

It's shit I always dreamed of. Took him "offroad" for the first time at a year and a half:

And now we go out like every month or so.

Took him camping at 2.5 years old and has already hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail, Mt. Rainier, and Acadia National Park at almost 3.

My wife and I have made it a point to try to still do all the things we love that we used to do before kids, even though we are parents now. Of course it's MUCH harder, takes way more work, but dang I love it.

@CS_AR didn’t you say your truck and FZJ80s would typically do the best on your trail runs? I had these kinda crappy ATs on mine which really limited my traction.

I remember the one we had in TX when I was a kid sent my dad a letter telling him to take down the swing/playset he put up for us, because it was higher than our fence and obscured the neighbor's sightline of the greenbelt behind our neighborhood, lol. Also couldn't park on the street overnight and cars had to be garaged. Bunch of stupid BS rules I never want to have to deal with.

I'm running an E rated MT that is lighter weight than most. I'm on the 2nd set of that tire because I was very satisfied with off-road performance. They are sticky tires that do well on snow, ice, and in mud. I only need to air down to about 25 psi to get a good ride on a rough road. Definitely not a high-mileage tire. I'm willing to make the trade-off.
