No. I bought the new model. I wish they would have a 10yr warranty.

Anybody see the new Hercules porta-band saw stand yet? Not going to lie, I'm kind of glad I never got around to buying the SWAG stand now since this does double duty.

The shop hoist is a great deal. It’s perfect for loading and unloading heavy stuff from my van. I’ve used it for AC compressors when I build decks, and it’s perfect for outboards too. F534372E-1DB4-4E6A-9799-CFA1EF5D728F.jpg179CC8AF-5CD4-402E-AD2C-F36AAB1F2550.jpg

I was in the store looking for this over the weekend. They don’t have it yet. For $100 I’m all :spending:

    Totally worth the price.

I haven't tried that one, but i had their older mini vice and it sucked. It was fine if you needed to just hold something as a third hand, but any kind of force and it would flex a lot. Not enough clamping to the table and not enough jaw clamping ability.

That one does look improved, but I'd still be wary.

Good to know, I'll keep the box/receipt in case it ends up being junk. I've got a old full size vice already but it would be nice to have something smaller for when I dont want to drag out a 15+ pound vice for something small.

I ended up buying that little press brake for my skid plate. It struggled with 16 gauge and about an 8” long seam. It did it though. Overall worth it for my project and I have it now for future stuff.

Also that diablo circular saw steel blade is the freaking tits. It just melted through.

I'll probably go with stainless socket caps long term, just used the zinc coated stuff I had on hand for now. You can take apart 90% of this bike with a 5mm hex key

Edit to add: I also forgot to include tabs when I was cutting out the long triangle part, so I had to bend and weld some in for the front panel. Worked OK, learned some shit about welding 16 guage and how finnicky it is. Burned through along the top edge on the other side. But hey, whats the saying.. grinder and paint makes me the welder I aint

Good reason to keep aluminum around.

I wouldn’t buy anything harbor freight that depends on accuracy. Timing light, fuel pressure tester, compression tester. I don’t have experience with the timing light, but I had a fuel pressure tester leak about a few uses, compression tester showed zero compression then show low compression first time use.

I have their impact sockets and double sided flex head wrench. Works fine.

Man I keep deliberating in my head about the USG3 or the Masterforce 72”.

The latter has three full length drawers vs the USG3 only having two. And the Masterforce’s latch/handle system is superior.
