That's awesome, I'm excited to take her everywhere. We are heading to Montaray this week to the aquarium.

I think the Land Cruiser had cemented that already but it certainly didn't hurt. Especially here.

Dude that's the awesome kind of shit I love to hear.

Yeah we had already discussed taking Theo out (before he was born) at a young age to get him accustomed to things.

@eon_blue basically cemented those thoughts when we talked about taking them out at an early age.

My wife's all about exposure for our kid, and we're both all about out and camping too in general.

Her having been hospitalized for awhile kind of put that in the back burner but we're hoping to revisit the idea again in another month or two and keep it going from there on.

It helps that there are tons of trails nearby, and worst case if we need to hit trails and camp (with amenities) there's always Hollister Hills which ain't too far (2.5hrs).

Hoping to create the same sort of memories you guys are :fistbump:

Just got done with a 3 hour drive in the Land Cruiser and he took it like a champ.

We had my buddy's kid at a bear tree at 2 weeks old and he's second at a tree and 3 months.

they grew up bouncing around in a side by side

    Oh I know

I was just agreeing that it doesn't hurt them to drag em with you. Lot more work and a lot more stuff, but they'll be fine.

You'll have different experiences to bring him up with being in CA. You can have him right by your side for avocado toast at 2mo old. And again at a year for traffic travelling down I-5. You know, authentic CA childhood things.

    Dang 3 hours is impressive!

In the end you gotta do what you are comfortable with in the situation you are in. As cool as it is to say you did XYZ with your child at age whatever it's far more important for them to be safe, healthy and parents to be safe and healthy. Everything will come in time.

I'm glad things are starting to improve for you @Kwikvette

Have you done that with your little one yet?

And yeah I need to do that already myself.

I got her to a bear tree in town and took her to a work party, and a few other things.

hard where I only get her 3 hours Wednesday night, definitely not afraid to take her somewhere on a Saturday if there's something going on. 0D0B7A79-FAA1-4346-B6BA-A515BF24C199.jpg

Fuuuck, seems they're confirming the sub imploded with the debris they found floating.

    Damn.

Instant implosion ain't bad if they didn't even realize there was an issue and all of a sudden *POP*

Yeah it would be so jarringly traumatic that you'd damn near lose consciousness the instant it began

Oh for sure, that'd be the best way

Still sucks...can you imagine that moment during descent when you hear that initial 'crack' before it finally implodes

Or maybe I just watch too many movies

The pictures make it look like a soda can vs all 18 wheels on a semi.

at that depth with that pressure I imagine it was so quick they probably had no time to even process hearing anything before it crumpled like a soda can...definitely a better alternative to slowly suffocating and freezing to death, but still an awful way to go

Reminds me of that story of the deep sea diver back in the 80s that was in a vessel that suddenly depressurized and he got sucked through a small narrow 20 inch door opening, yikess
