Id like to plant some this fall, see what happens.

 

My dad used to step on the stems & snap ‘em at ground level. He left ‘em in the ground for a little while longer after that. What I gathered from it was the root part develops, not the stem. Only then would he pull ‘em then braid them to dry. Definitely a European thing.

 

Yes near time for hardneck planting, still a bit early.

Pull and dry them. I used one last night in some tacos and some Lion's mane mushrooms. Smell so good fresh and very tasty. Spicy raw, cooked lovely. It wasn't ideally dry enough, a little hard to peel but so tasty. Especially compared to that shit garlic imported from China.

I used a full head of fresh garlic in my red beans and rice last night. Da Bomb.

 

Some of the garden . Started spraying Neem oil already . Found a striped cucumber beetle . Ordering some essential oils to make some bug repellent. Rosemary ,peppermint and eucalyptus. I did plant a few peppermint plants in there also .

Rain been on us the last few days. Laid some of the corn over. Got beans, peppers, zuch and yellow squash to pick but so darn wet I mired up to my ankles at the edge and gave up till it dries a bit. Did pick a gallon and a half of blue berries the last couple days though.

Cosmic Gold. I tend to plant taters as early as possible.

 

Ours just started flowering.

 

Picked a few berries today, unfortunately l noticed a damn tick attached to my knee a few hours later.
