I might have to trim the amp rack.
As it sits, there's about a quarter inch that sits under the front seat jackers.
Not sure if that'll affect anything.

I was super close to getting those same covers, but was not a fan of how far they stick out from the rest of the body work.

    Enough for now
I saw the price dip last week and snagged them after a couple of beers. They fit great but you’re right they do stick out a bit and my tail lights didn’t exactly “snap” back into the trim but hey that’s what the two screws are for.

There is another version thats just plastic that stick onto the tail lights. They dont protect anything, but they give the look.

I dimpled my BAKflip cover. Actually the hail did it, and the hail wasn't that big. I'm disappointed.
I wonder if PDR can fix it?

    A growing list of stuff
He will be tapping into the speaker wires coming from the back of the head unit. There is no “preamp” or line level (RCA jacks) to plug into. If you are afraid of these types of connections, they make T-harnesses to get those wires. Some have a line output converter attached as well. His amp has sound processing, so he can tune the sound to overcome anything (equalization or cut off low bass) that might have been played with from the factory. I believe that I had read somewhere that the outputs on the basic head unit (non JBL) was not too bad. If you are an advanced installer, you have what’s called a real time analyzer that you hook the wires up to, so you can see things that need fixing….

    yeah sorry... @TekITGuy
Schlucki is right. I'll be cutting the front speakers, routing that back to the DSP. Do sound processing then send out on the new wires. Could I have routed it back to the HU and tapped back into the factory harness? yup.
I'd rather have good wire that's more than capable of handling the power though. The back doors are by far the hardest, but it can be done with patience. So far I've smashed through my thumb nail causing blood to come out the top of my nail. That was pretty fun. I was angry till I saw it bleeding out the top, then I was amazed and the pain wasn't too bad. lol
Anyway... The factory speakers and HU are tuned for those small speakers. I installed new speakers in both front and rear. If I put the sound on rear only, well the factory HU doesn't have the balls to power any kind of decent speaker.
My front speakers have a passive crossover, so I'll just be sending full spectrum minus the lows to the fronts, and let the passive crossover do it's thing.
This is actually pretty fun. Not all that difficult, but I haven't gotten to the drivers side yet. fingers crossed.

You could run an extension to the glove box, so it's sitting in the glove box out of sight. You would remove the dash plug in, let it sit behind the dash plugged into the extension. It frees up the switch spot also.

    This is the extension.

Might try a heat gun and small "plunger". I've done this in the past on minor dings and it definitely helped the spots to look better.
