    port and polish intake manifold, supercharger, pulley for charger, lifted, tires, deckplate, (doing full engine build)
    ok so i did diagnostic.

    compression. 160psi .... other cylanders 158-162. so pretty close
    ohm the injector. 13.8 . spec
    wasnt getting a good spark. replaced plug and coil pack.
    still getting a little misfire

    soooooo i think it is either a vacuum leak or my exhaust is getting shitty and think it might be a back pressure issue.

    its verry minor and only get it untill 1700 rpm then it balances out.

    please let me know what you think

    how do i check vacuum lines on a supercharged truck?

    Check for cracks in the lines, you can use carb cleaner, smoke, etc. Be carfull if using carb cleaner, as it can catch fire if an open spark is around. If the engine reves when you spriy a line, then you found the leak.

    I had this problem once in the past, similar symptoms, and it turned out to be the large line going to the brake booster. You may want to start there first.

    i will. im gonna put a new muffler on anyways. sounds like shit right now. and ill do that at the same time

    Which supercharger do you have, black or grey?

    Aside from the vacuum lines, check the actuator itself. If you look at the bottom of the actuator it's like a rubber diaphram. After time, that rubber wears out. I had this exact problem on the s/c in my Miata. I aquired a tiny hole in the rubber diaphram. If it turns out to be that, you can purchase just the replacement actuator for like 40 bux or so.

    It took me a week to hunt down the vacuum leak. In the end, it was a cigar that found the leak for me. Puff, puff, blow around vacuum lines, pass :D

    Grey, got it. There only boost/vacuum line is the line on the top of the s/c manifold on the back side rightly behind the top of the "T" in TRD. I belive all the rest of the lines are vacuum only. Don't quote me on this cause I have the second gen S/C, but I'm pretty sure that's the line that runs to the vacuum fuel pressure regulator on the back side of the motor.
    If you have the URD 7th injector or a boost gauge, it would be T-ed off this line. I threw a lean code after I did my boost gauge on my Taco because of a mental retardation moment on my part in this area. Give it a once over as well if you have any extra goodies T-ing off this line.
    Also as Chris mentioned, you can use various fluids to listen for a change in RPM on the motor due to vacuum leak. My poison is starting fluid. Again as Chris mentioned, just try to keep it off any exhaust manifolds. Garden hose on standby always a good idea. Good luck ;)

    Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
    Don't forget about faulty/clogged injectors. Run a can of Seafoam.

    Berry, leave the starting fluid alone, it's very dangerous to use as that kind of diagnostic tool. Carb cleaner is harder to ignite.

    Awww cmon. It was half the adventure! :eek: Granted that idea came up half way through the "cigar," and starting fluide was all I had on hand. But touche...let's go with carb cleaner FTW. :D

    ok put it on a lift. found a loose line. plugged it in. didnt really help. looked for others and didnt see any. i think that it could me a lower intake manifold?
    anybody had one or replaced one.
    im going to run a can of sea foam through a quarter tank to make it concentrated. then ill go from their.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't your S/C replace the upper AND lower intake manifold? I know on my black S/C it replaced both halfs.
