The tow truck itself was 40' long. The combo I drive is around something like 75' all together.

I took another look and it might actually have LED lights. The information I got was from a page with generic XLE information, not about the actual vehicle. The might be even more disappointing if they are LED.

Lancaster County on the SC side of Charlotte. If that makes sense

Thanks. I would have had it on sooner but the rear window motor took a shit and I had to figure out how to get the window down

Probably lower it some, fix some rot in the passenger rear Wheel well, finish putting the interior back together. I have to get the ebrake working again and that should get me a sticker but the proper cables are hard to come by, I might try to make it work with the one I have right now that I had ordered. I'd like maybe some 33s down the road (its on 32s right now) and to fix or get new front seats. This is sensible, but doesn't have to be totally sensible since I have the Tundra to daily and this is only going to be used when the weather is nice

The cam changed nearly every year for the C5. It’s funny the snobbery regarding the WS6 vs C5 on the Corvette forum. The idea it could be worth C5 money upsets them. They made 250,000 C5s, they made significantly less of the WS6 and I’d venture a lot of WS6s were dailied and beat into the ground so finding a good example is going to have a ton of value.

That’s been true for years with GM. The original Pontiac Banshee in the 60s wasn’t allowed because it would have taken thr Corvette’s thunder. The GNX and TTA in the late 80s had to basically be de-rated as it would have taken the C4 to task. The second generation Fiero concept was a Corvette fighter and was stopped for similar reasons.

As an aside with the Vette I am kicking myself. I was cleaning handprints off the seat from when I had been working in there and light scrubbing with soap and water (as directed by the seat cover manufacturer) pulled the dye out of the covers. I’m livid. It’s a “only Mike sees it unless I point it out” but it’s obnoxious.

I did fix the LED footwell kit for the Tacoma so that’s a win, I guess.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind, I need to find one in stock first. And, honestly, it'll probably be easier for me to just cave in and build one.

I have so many irons in the fire right now, and a lot of sudden expenses..

At least I did find a shop that can hopefully fix my rear axle, then it'll just need a rebuild(new R&P and carrier, which will be a truetrac).
This is part of the cost of vehicles that sit. BUT, at least I finally nailed down my vibration.

I REALLY need to find her a commuter car though... jeez, 40miles a day just back, and forth to work on my Tacoma.....

I don't know who here is old enough to remember when tandem trailers were restricted to the MA Turnpike only and couldn't go on the extension into Boston. There was a yard at the Newton tolls where the tandems had to be disconnected and brought in by separate trucks. The dollys were stored there between trips as well.

Then there was the no trailer trucks on Sunday law, which was existed into the 1980s at least.

Driving down south we saw lots of tandems, lots of 53 foot trailers, and all sorts of trucks. My wife has a weird fascination with those big rigs, especially the sleeper trucks.
