Figure it's time for another update...

Maggie is nearing completion on the initial buildup... should be able to get her wrapped up in the spring. She's mainly in hibernation these days... I'll need to get a build page going for her, she's got a lot of fun going on.

Here she is before we hit the Mojave Road back in Nov..

And Betty has returned in the form of a dedicated wheeler.

    20231231_140446.jpg

JD Fab 2.25" LT kit with fox up front. Kept the icon rear shocks. Took the overload leafs off the deavers. Threw on an archive garage shackle flip kit i had laying around. Added Icon hydrobumps. Warfab desert storm rear bumper. Spare now in the bed on a mount i had laying round. Group 31 battery mounted in the bed. Took the switchpro out and really simplified a lot of things.... glad to keep Betty around, gonna be fun to wheel again without having to worry about all the weight and expensive things on it.

Time to revisit some moab favorites and add more to my completed list

Nice! How are you liking the JD kit? Did you do anything about the frame yet?

So far kit is doing good. Wasn't a fan of losing my TC shock hoop due to the different c/o used with the kit. Didn't realize the conflict until it was too late and cutting out the hoop was the cheapest solution. Didn't do the lower mount kit, kept with the oem mounts for now.

Due to the frame issues, i don't want to dive too deep into a rabbit hole with the rig. Front is running nice. Rear modifications seem to be working good. So I'll rock this setup for a bit and see how the frame holds up.

If i jump into any rabbit hole at this point it would be to make 37s fit...

Frame has some patch work going. Latest was some reinforcements warfab did to tie his slider frame plates into my sliders to strengthen the middle... biggest issue now is the rear near the front leaf spring mounts.

Going to keep an eye out for a good deal on a new frame or good used frame possibly to keep the rig going for longer... if i find a frame solution, this build may go a bit crazy lol.

    Yay race camper! Go Betty!

You pulled both overloads from the deaver pack? I've been thinking about doing that.. my u402 stage III's are a bit much and ride a little high since I pulled a lot of weight off the rear. Any noticeable change in axle wrap?

Chippin away... had to cut out my TC shock hoops for the JD Fab kit.. ended up getting the JD hoop to add back in there. Adds strength to the bucket and gives me the secondary option later if i wanted to get fancy.

Also moved my resi mount up and out of the way more for better tire clearance...

    20240317_171142.jpg

OMF converted SCS wheels coming this week.. will get those in the 37s soonish. Not a huge rush on those since I'll likely have a long road ahead to properly fit them.

Still need to get my rear relocation done. That'll be the next focus... hopefully get that done before moab next month to kick off the spring wheeling season.

Got some work to do for max clearance, but she's damn close and looking real good on 37s!
