I've ordered the stalk, wire and clutch pedal switch. Watched a video and it looks pretty straight forward, except it was done on an automatic and I've still gotta figure out the clutch switch install.

Depends if your truck is pre-wired, do you have the 2.7L or 4.0L engine?

2.7. I've been reading a lot of accounts where they're almost always prewired. I'm prewired for a backup camera for sure

Well here's the wiring diagram if you need it.

I did my ‘05. It’s not hard. Post up if you get confused. Switch and stalk and de-pin the horn and you’re good to go.

It’s quite a satisfying mod. I’m still working through clutch start cancel. Those and fog on the stalk are the trifecta of 2nd Gen base SR MT mods.

Did the cruise a day or two before a 1000 mile move, decided to pre stage the 2nd Gen. Worked perfectly. Of course the 2.7 has no balls so don’t expect it to hold in 5th up steeper passes but that’s not Cruz’s fault :)

I've got a 2000+ mile round trip in a month, just need to get it in by then! Please update here if you get it installed, I'll do the same.

My cruise went in last summer. I have clutch start cancel planned out, is that what you’re asking about? Fogs on the stalk will be later on.

Can you post a link of what setup you ordered, and have you gone through with this install? I have a 2013 single cab 2.7 4x4 that I’m looking to add cruise control by next weekend and everything I’ve found has been very detailed but for AUTO, Mines manual and this seems a bit more work

The ECM is programmed to accept the CC stalk and wiring. The't only potential issues are that I have read some units have the wiring between the column and ECM, and some don't.

I have also heard of some having a clock spring that didn't connect between the st8eering pad and the S8 connector at the bottom of the column. My 2013 base/auto HAD it, but the trace was worn through so I had to get another one. You can easily check by checking for continuity between the pins in the steering pad behind the steering wheel and the correct pin in S8. I also had to run the wire from S8 to ECM as it wasn't prewired. It is pretty straightforward.
