    What is the easiest or best way to install a cd player w/o messing with the info / radio / display? Are their wireless / bluetooth options out there ? Not likely going to PAY for sirius radio subscription.

    You could probably swap the head unit for one of the 2016-2019 models. Those still had CD players. Unknown how they interface with the post 2020 models though.

    upload your CD's to a USB stick. all my music is on a USB stick, there has never been a CD in the slot in my 2016. Just a thought.

    My issue with the newer units you can't upload pictures anymore.
    you would have to swap out the bezel also and then would it accept the connectors?

    If you have to use a CD player, might be able to buy an external CD drive and plug it in via adapter to the trucks USB. Kind of like the inverse of the old school cassette to AUX adapter.

    Or just use CarPlay/android auto.

    You might try this 8- track player while you're at it. Nothing like slamming a Journey cartridge while you're barreling at 104 mph! Should link up just fine.

    I mean you have to pay to listen to whatever you want.

    If you have a large collection of CDs, it makes sense to use what you got.

    Another option would be to load all your CDs onto an MP3 player and hook that up via USB.

    I agree, or just use a phone. That’s why I’d gladly trade if the swap was just that. I hear the CarPlay leaves a lot to be desired, but the CD player is useless to me.

    2008 here ,no USB or Bluetooth . It’s either CDs or FM radio . That’s one upgrade I have not done is the stereo system . Still stock

    I know this is the 3rd Gen forum, but the best upgrade I ever did to my 2010 was to upgrade the stereo.

    I installed hands free mic, modern stereo with car play, satellite, etc., and added phone controls to the steering wheel.

    I know it seems odd to say this, but it made that older truck seem much more modern and even made my transition to my 2021 feel a bit underwhelming.
