Wiring harness front driver wheel well and frame.

Just picked up a 2023 Trd Off-road 4 weeks ago. I was looking at sliders and went out to look at the frame mounting locations. I noticed this wiring harness in the driver wheel well that was exposed and then mounted to the frame on the driver side. Any one else have a similar wiring harness or know what it’s for. Being in the wheel well seems exposed and strange it is there. Thanks for the help.

So that is normal on these trucks. The wheel well part just looks darn vulnerable.

 

I believe it is typical. I have never had mine fail and haven't read one single post on a failure there, but have read several asking why/what this is.

 

2023 SR5 delivered mid-August 23: harness is generally on top of the frame. None on the outside as shown above.

 

My initial concerns were the same as yours, my 2021 OR harness is positioned exactly the same as your pictures, not on top of the frame. People doing a body mount chop or relocation are taking it into account when cutting and welding.
