We're in the 559Cruisers Facebook group, which is significantly better than the 559Yota group I left.

Everyone's a damn adult, mature, and cool as fuck.

This guy saw my skid and I got a few messages asking for work done.

He said he'll text me pics but also post in the group and tag me, he's stoked as hell.

It's probably gonna be brittle and need to be chiseled up so buy an oscillating tool when the time comes.

I've seen floor scrapers being used. They look like a hoe with a straight blade. I think I've seen some use a flame throwing torch to heat up the tile so it will peel off easier.

 

Well I have all this carpet I tore up and want to get all the hardwood done at once. Was debating the kitchen, which is probably hardwood…under linoleum…under some sort of underlayment….under vinyl. But I think I’ll just get different vinyl if the time comes.

 

Well anything with fire is a bad idea for me.

 

in this vein maybe a heat gun would be a decent help. You can still set yourself on fire but it's more difficult

 

Why delay the inevitable

 

Is it squares or sheet? Are you doing tile or wood? If it's sheet and you are doing tile leave it. It makes a nice consistent surface and helps the tile from cracking over time.

 

Ah good point. The first thought was to finish the hardwood but I think I’d rather do tile later.

 

This is what I want to do when we buy our home.
It's tile that looks like wood. Super durable.
