i love those things! so good if you just need some fast work and don't need to drag the air line out and make sure the compressor is ready to go and the tool.

OK I know this is a bit pricy but I would look at this Dewalt table saw it goes on sale every now and then, I own the 8-1/4 inch version(no dado option) and Ive found it to be good even for small jewelry sized wooden boxes. If you want to go cheaper this Ridigd is a decent one but the fence isnt nearly as nice. Regardless of which you get I would buy a fine tooth Diablo blade for cleaner cuts.

Figured it'd be appropriate to ask here.

I cut shit, weld shit, bend shit, and everything in between.

However, I did a job today where I made this (shown tacked, before fully welding) -

    20230624_105620.jpg

I went with 1/2" steel rod, for aesthetics and for strength.

What do you guys use for bending 1/2" rod?

Will be making more of these and would prefer something easier and quicker than a MAPP torch, vise, and Marine strength for the next 3 sets (and more hopefully).

Looks like you need a small press with a round top die or possibly a porta-power. Nice work!

Yeah someone pointed out just getting that small tube bender from HF meant for bending pipe.

Never considered to use one for round stock.

Just picked up the Astro Pneumatic XL ratcheting flex head wrench for their nano sockets (model 78318). It's showing up on Amazon for $25 w/ free shipping.

Combined with their 3/8" nano sockets (I have the 6-24mm set) you have a super low profile, XL pattern, flex head ratcheting wrench "set." For $85. Compared to the Kabo 5pc wrench set sold under different brands for anywhere between $225 - $450. Plus the nano sockets are 6pt vs the spline drive 12pt of the Kabo wrenches.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JBJZAL4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details (showing $33 as of this post but it fluctuates down to $25 weekly)

I have the Icon version of the Kabo set. Bought them on sale with a coupon for pretty cheap. Only used it a couple of times but they’re awesome.

Figured since I already have the Astro 3/8 nano impact sockets, why not add this for $25 and expand the range of sizes for a ratcheting XL pattern wrench set.

Used these compressors for the first time today. The jaws are a bit big with the little covers. Ended up compressing too much to where the jaws wouldn't come out. I think I'm going to take the little boots off and wrap the jaws in electrical tape to provide a bit more clearance.
