I think next time I order something I’m going to ask to have it not fit my truck. I didn’t see that drop down option although.

about 1/4 the price of the sliders (roughly)

I can't square it up. It is as close as it's gonna get. that mounting tab is holding me off. Down and out from the frame. Wonder how I can bend the mounting tab down. Both sides are the same (driver side too).

Honestly, there's no luck required.
If they choose not to work with him and deliver what was ordered, he can just dispute the purchase with the credit card company.
They did not deliver him what he ordered. They delivered him something else.
This is a no brainer.
The company either fixes the mistake at their cost, or they loose out on the entire order, and get bad reviews on social media.
It's not up to the customer to ensure that the order was made correctly, and fits.
That job belongs to the people making the item.

 

I understand the morals involved with it all. As well as the fear of repercussions of social media. But I think they are going to do as much as possible to avoid paying the freight charges. Therefore I say good luck. Also I would like to know the outcome. Sorry I’m going into airplane mode for a little here.

Nah.. they delivered him something that was made incorrectly.
they are responsible for sending him the correct parts ordered, and if they want the old ones back, they can send him a prepaid or just tell him to keep them if they feel the price of shipping them back is too much.

 

No worries. They may try to get you to pay to send them back, just say no thank you. I ordered something that fits my truck, and you sent these that don't.
Hopefully you paid with a credit card so you can dispute the order if they try to make you pay for their mistake.

The rest of us live in a world where if things are not as advertised, then a refund at the expense of the manufacturer is entitled by law.
If the manufacturer chooses not to refund, then you can legally contest the purchase, as you did not receive what was advertised.

 

Oh please. It’s not an official Toyota part. It’s a custom piece “made to order”. I agree with what you are saying, just not all of it. Lol.

I also want to get home and look at the tabs on my sliders to see how much of an angle they are at. Just for comparison.
