Thanks yes, after watching vids and seeing how they work the whole thing would be OK with a table and useful, but with a lift, a whole new level.

That was for my own house . There is an identical curved stair to the basement stacked below that stair in the picture but above its a 1/2 wall and below the wall is full height so I needed 3 helical build ups , a 5" wide helical cap for the 1/2 wall upstairs , a helical handrail for the upstairs that's radius was centre of the 1/2 wall and a helical handrail for the basement stairs whose radius was offset from the curved wall by the handrail bracket offset . So I made up a clamping jig on the top of upstairs 1/2 wall and used it as form to make my three pieces by altering the "fence" blocks I clamped my pieces to which corresponded to the various radii I needed my pieces to conform to

That looks sweet, I need the table like now, I just don't have the time to build right now.

    That said:
Will that HD Bench Top Router table (above) WITHOUT a 9-1/32" x 12-3/32" Insert Plate accept a JessEm 02311 9-1/4" x 11-3/4" Phenolic insert plate? (Rout-R-Lift II router lift is compatible with the Makita 1011 router motor.)

I know it is relatively close but the dimensions are different.

I'm a newbie and don't know what stuff is standard. Thanks!

All four tops glued up, sanded 60-80-150-220, and waiting for finish. Wife wants gloss poly.

    I built mine.

I used the plans from Norm - modified slightly to raise the table top. It took a while to build, but it is awesome. I wish I would have built it 15 years ago when I bought the plans..............

EDIT: I am using a Woodpecker's router lift.

That is basically Norm's table design.

Imelda Marcos couldn’t wear all of her shoes at once. It just isn’t possible.

I think I have that plate at home. I'll try it out tonight with some pics if I do.
