We drove down to East Dubuque IL yesterday. The only part of the drive I didn't like was going around Madison.
Well at least it was around Madison and not through it.

Anyone on here done the upgrade to 4Runner calipers and rotors on a second gen? I will be going to 17" wheels soon, and be needing brakes soon... looking for opinions etc.

Someone mentioned the topic at the last get together. I was thinking about the same upgrade.

@wi_taco has done it. It's in his well documented Build Thread

May has only been in Madison for about a decade. We took a walk down State St. yesterday. It was hardly recognizable, it’s changed so much in the last few years, and not for the better.

When my tires finally get here we should talk and maybe do a weekend double. We could invite Adam, Jason and whom ever else for a heckle fest. I am going to change the needle bearings as well. Truck is almost to 100k so time for some love up there...

Dinner ran a little longer than I would've liked. I got through 3 fluid level check cycles and a little over a gallon of the old stuff out.

Mind you I have to transfer the fluid a quart at a time cause I thought it was a good idea to buy it in bulk.

Should've looked into another Slippery Pete for a bigger container earlier.

It's on the way now, along with replacement plugs. That 5mm hex is not the brightest idea from Toyota engineers. Almost stripped it on the initial try.

Already looked a lot better but I guess I'll be finishing up next weekend:bananadead:

I was going to wait to show off my new "stickers" and surprise everyone while airing down. But great service requires recognition. Apex has the best service.

I was fine paying shipping on the second order since it was my fault for not realizing I needed the adapters to go with the RPV's. Definitely made a loyal customer out of me.

Jason beat me to it but yeah I did it a while back and I would do it again. I can also stand around and drink beer and heckle if needed. I have the ECGS bushing tools also if needed to borrow, as well as the big axle nut socket and a torque wrench that goes into the hernia-inducing range.

Agreed. I won't let Kimm'r go to Woodman's (local grocery store) alone. Glad to be in the country now.

I know it was almost no time at all but being without my truck sucked lol. Glad to have it back. They were able to identify the problem and fix it. Verified with the hose at home. Guess I should probably do some long overdo cleaning of the interior now.

The Woodman's on Milwaukee St. is the worst grocery store I've ever been in.

Hey, where did you get your front Crown brake lines? Looking and I can only seem to find +4" at AccuTune...

Living in the shadow of the power plant if I lose power it's usually something major and the outage doesn't last long. Granted we're all choking on coal dust, but power!

As a fan of things like museums and such I say when in doubt pinky out ya heathens!

That's why your truck is perfectly stocked for off grid living. It's all coming together now..

I hope it hold up better for you. I have not had good luck with rattle cans of bed liner. When I do my sliders before winter I'm going the POR 15 route.

This is on my list for next weekend or the one after. What's this wiping down the engine bay? Mine is still a dusty mess from the last trip.
I also need an alignment and tires ahead of a planned trip in July.
