Morning guys, finally had a chance to clean up the house since vacation. Broke down and put the air on though because of the humidity lately with all these storms rolling through.

PA peeps and wannabes. I got soaked on Saturday at the hillclimb, went back yesterday and saw some good dry action. New record was set!

This reminds me a lot of myself in my early 30's. I drank and smoked and <lalalala>ed and was generally killing myself by degrees. Decided to do something about it, starting with the bike. My first ride was HORRIBLE. I made it less than 5 miles and came home in a heap. But I kept after it and it got better as time went on. So keep at it! If your knees start acting up even on the bike, look for aquatic exercise. Not as convenient but very gentle on the joints.

Even with the bike riding I had a hell of a time with quitting smoking. It took me years. "It's easy to quit smoking -- I've done it a hundred times!" That was me. I'd stop buying, but still would bum from people. I'd buy a pack, smoke a few, get pissed at myself and throw the rest away. All kinds of stuff. I finally quit for good when I started a new job where I didn't know anyone and couldn't bum smokes.

Not.
Easy.

You have to want it. But I can guarantee you it's worth the effort.

Here's a little bit about me and my experience with shock rebuilds, that I currently do on the side, along with some pictures of a couple of the shocks I've worked on in the past.
I currently live in SEPA, in Berks county, and work in Montgomery county. I worked for Miller Motorsports (Ultra4 team) as a mechanical engineer for 4 years doing a little bit of everything including shock work, in addition to doing it on the side of another small company. I’ve had experience with all different shock brands and types; Fox, King, Icon, multiple different applications (from Raptors to Tundras, Jeeps, and Tacoma’s) and shock types from smooth body IFP and RR, internal bypass, external bypass, IFP bumps, and emulsion bumps.
