This dealer is not giving you $2k off MSRP. They are selling at MSRP with those ridiculous ad-ons. Don’t be fooled by this gimmic.

So MSRP on the window sticker is $42,506...there is a $2k market adjustment on the right side of the dealer add ons and is reflected in the sales order (MSRP shows $44,506)...then the dealer "discounts" $2k. So they are not discounting anything off MSRP. Then they are making well over a grand on the "GPS tracker". You are not getting a deal at all.

There is no real discount in that deal. They are fluffing the numbers to make you think you got a good deal. Run from a dealer that does that.

    Yeah, I'd run. I know it's a different market now, but I paid a little under 35K (+ TTL) for my 2020.
This deal looks like ~ 44K +TTL. Way too much for a 'base' model OR.

Exactly! I was hoping he was getting a straight up deal on this! A discount without dealer installed BS! Unfortunately it seems very rare that dealers do not do this crap! I am fortunate that one of my dealers does not do this. However, they do markup the Pro's which is unfortunate! I also wanted to add that his interest rate seems high 8.99 % ?? Toyota has rate incentives on the Tacoma's except Pro's. If my memory is correct you should be able to get 5.99% for 72, 4.9% for 60, and 3.9% for 48. Looks like they are trying to score 2% points on top of the other add-on's.

Unless they pull credit they're estimating rates without knowing anything. Rates I see in my area are 4.9% for 48 months, they can mark up 2% if they choose to. I do agree that this isn't a deal whatsoever.

True you are right! But no way should they mark up the % on the incentive rate!! And I stand corrected just checked and it's 5.49% for 72 months on ALL tacoma's!!! When I got my truck the Toyota Financial rate excluded the Pro.

Def. shady to mark up the rate especially when they're $2,000 over MSRP to begin with. In my region it doesn't exclude the TRD Pro but you can't really find any around anyways. I had 2.49% for 48 months in October of last year when I bought.

That interest rate is what his computer spat out. It's also with 0 down. I'm paying cash.

Another dealer has basically the same truck, only thing different is that one has power tailgate lock, this one doesn't. MSRP on that one is 45K. There's alot of BS in the numbers. I'm sure living in Commiefornia has alot to do with crazy prices.

That has nothing to do with California. That is all about the dealer screwing you over and hiding the fact that they are taking advantage of you.

Definitely some shady tacttics going on. the MSRP on the workup is very misleading, as it has a 2k market adjustment loaded in from the window sticker (actual MSRP is $42.5k, not $44.5k. Then they offer a 2k discout and load in 2k of extras. It's not 2k under MSRP, it's actuallly 2k over MSRP.

People act like 11” is a dealbreaker. When the lumber doesn’t fit either way, there’s no issue with a 5’ bed and 12’ materials.

That's a horrible idea. What time?

Salesman is trying to make a sale. He's going to do what he can to put in the truck. So he will tell you the Pro is 8k higher, but he won't tell you it's probably got most if not all the options on it.

2024 - I love what this truck looks like on paper and YouTube. If it lives up to half it's potential, I'm in. But not until 2025 or 2026. I wait until the first year bugs are worked out. Of course, I grew up on the domestic market, and that's been a good move for the most part. I don't know Toyota's track record on first year new gen products.

In the end, do what you're comfortable with. If this truck will meet your needs, then go for it and add what you need to for work (and play!) as you see fit.

You are not getting $2K off MSRP, the dealer is just taking off their BS $2K mark-up and telling you what deal you are getting. Then they add $2,185.00 in garbage. You are paying over MSRP.

I did the same thing while I worked for construction. And while I am not working, I carry 14' kayak in 5' bed. Now I have the racks including topper, I can carry it on there.

That's a pretty blatant documented screw job. The sticker says MSRP is $42,506. The buyers order says MSRP is $44,506. Is this even legal?

Look on the right of the window sticker. There is a dealer markup of $2,000.

I saw that. I was stating the blatant discrepancy on MSRP before the discount and add on BS. Not even any fine print involved.

The worse part is, the dealer has convinced people they are getting a hell of a discount and deal even though they are still screwing them over.
