Having replaced most of my corded tools with cordless (Milwaukee) I have a circular saw and drill motor that are in like new condition. Is there a market for these tools, which are totally overbuilt and way more powerful than the cordless versions?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I only use the corded electric tools . I would buy them if I was close for the right price.

My adventures with cordless tools were all bad.

Batteries all failed to take a charge after using them 3 times.

All Milwaukee I give them back to the local dealer for parts.

I generally avoid battery operated tools because I never know when the manufacturer is going to change battery styles. I have a 12v battery operated drill that I modified a battery case so I could use an external battery. Otherwise, all my power tools are corded.

Both for me. Corded for some things, and in the shop. For portability you can't beat cordless. Rigid keeps replacing my batteries, and I've got adapters for batteries between brands.

I have a Black&Decker cordless drill and 3 batteries (2 from the drill, one from a B&D weed trimmer that I dumped years ago). I keep all 3 batteries fully charged when starting any project because it does not take much drive them dead.

Other power tools are corded so I do not need 3 batteries each for random orbit sander, circular saw, jigsaw, etc. I once ran the circular saw off the workpiece and through the power cord ... now the power cord is ends-wrapped with that junction wrapped in electrical tape.

Yes there may be a market but it depends on what the tools are, care to post what the brand/model of the tools are?

My grandfather who was a civil engineer/director of public works/professional penny pincher would only buy corded power tools. He always claimed the battery versions would go obsolete. I wasn't aware they still made corded versions. I'm partial to the yellow 20v versions though. :anonymous:

These two Milwaukee tools are about 30 years old and work like the day I bought them. The cord and blade guard was recently replaced on the saw and I had no problem getting factory parts. I used the drill motor to stir some asphalt sealer, more torque than the cordless drill I have.

I’m a big fan of corded for most things. I do really appreciate cordless impact drivers and drills for light duty construction. Other than that, sawzalls, skilsaws, and other heavy duty tools are typically much much better corded.
