Nice, I was thinking you said they didn't like it because you paid way less than what they wanted to receive for it. I have no idea how much these things are brand new so glad you like it looks pretty cool and it wraps around the back so it would offer a lot of shade.

It’s on sale right now for 799 and usually 949 when not on sale. I think it worked out pretty well for me haha. Only thing I need to worry about is how I’m going to raise it up a couple inches to clear the back door.

I emailed RCI with a few suggestion on how this could be avoided. Dense foam or wood on corners, or sandwiched in foam. For $70 they could do a little more than this for f@#& sake.

Not to the point I considered returning or the plate not fitting properly, I hope. The corners are pretty chewed up and will have to be touched up before installing. What is the recommended fix for touching up powder coating? I haven't installed it yet as I'm taking a beach trip soon and I am going to wait until I get back because I always detail my chassis after a beach trip.

If you end up getting a new set shipped to you. Do yourself a favor and video the unboxing.
At any rate, good job. I was 99% sure that they'd send you a new pair. Not sure if they'll just tell you to keep the existing ones or ship them back. And of course, it will be on their dime.

I actually remember your post on this. I guess I was fortunate to receive my skids in good condition. My sliders had a couple of nicks but I was able to touch them up. This is what I used and it is a very close match:

I will let them know if I can't get them to fit right. They will make and ship me a new pair. They said it would take a couple weeks to build and ship... I'm not that much in a hurry. I just want those sliders. They said 2 options.. #1 "try to bend them to fit right with a rubber mallet and it shouldn't scuff the finish". #2 they would build and ship another set. I know I'm gonna have to end up beating the shit out of them with a sledge. 1/8 steel, not sure if it will bend without messing it all up...

So I forgot to take progress shots because it was muggy out, but I routed the cable for my phone through the dash so I didn’t have to see it above the dash, but it works really well. I’m just glad that I had that long cable from Toyota

I have they exact same sliders from Cali Raised LED. I installed them about two months ago. Fit right up no issues at all, perfect fit everything line up perfectly. Sorry that yours did not fit. Their customer support is really good, I have had to call the before for other products. I don’t think their phone number is on their web site, but it is pretty easy to find with a google search. Or, you can use the chat feature on their web site.
