That's similar to what I did. 5100's and HeadStrong progressive AAL in the rear. I've been very happy with this setup. I would have gone with the TRD shocks if I could have found them but I'm convinced they are the same as 5100's. I found 5100's for $440 delivered through HotShot Offroad about 5 months ago but I've seen a little cheaper since then. Also, you don't need new U-bolts if you plan to remove the overloads(which is what I did). If you keep the overloads then you just barely won't have enough threads for full engagement of the U-bolt nuts and you will need to new U-bolts.

None yet. Hoping to add TRD lift kit and 275-70/R17 Wildpeak AT3W.
Do you remember which clip setting you put the front at on your 5100’s? Yours sounds like exactly what I’m planning on doing. I’d love to see a pic of yours if you’ve got any. Mine is a 23 TRD Sport double cab short bed. Did you do any other mods like upper control arms or diff drop? I’m seeing mixed answers on those as well with just going 2” front / 1.5” rear.

I did 4th clip on 5100's (1.55") to keep factory rake with progressive AAL. Here's my truck thread with more info and pics:

Just did the lift on Thursday/Friday. Only did the shocks/struts and hardware… Already had a pro grille on it. Pretty straightforward, front was honestly easier than the rear using the method mentioned here without a spring compressor. Got an alignment afterwards and trucks looks great with the 2/1” lift. 22 AC OR so did the second circlip groove as mentioned in the instructions. Post a pic up soon, wheels next…

We did 2 AC in a row, one on 2nd clip, one 3rd, the 2nd looks perfect. 3rd is high, almost exactly level, so even 50lbs will make it sit nose high. You'll be happy.

I have this lift installed in my 21 Sport. It settled quite a bit after a year, and honestly it doesn't even look like my truck is lifted. :\

I was looking at the Revtek 427AP spacer/AAL to go with this, but I believe that's for the TRD Pro suspension only (which is coil-overs?) whereas this is the "TRD Lift". I honestly thought was the same as the suspension that came in the Pros when I bought it. Does anyone know if there's a spacer/AAL that will work with this kit?

Disclaimer: My truck is a kid hauler, I know spacers are unpopular, my truck is a mall crawler and I just want to fit some 285s without having to spend 4k in lift that I will never have time to wheel with. :)

You could try some top plate spacers from headstrong but you may need to get longer bolts for that. Or get a complete bilstein 5100 setup from them with better springs

Can you measure to the top of one of your fenders, when you have a chance? This is my truck the day I got it done about a year ago. I feel as though it's settled a fair bit since then.

    Tires are 265/75/16 Open Countries.

Hm, maybe I'm senile, lol. Pic from today. I don't feel like this looks like a lifted truck at all...

Just shy of 37" at the middle of the front fender, about 37.5 at the back.

    Hi guys,
I installed the TRD OME lift kit since it first came out a few years back, and I also did a AAL in the back. I were pretty happy with the lift until .... I installed bumper and 12K winch, also have a Diamond Back cover, Yakima Overhaul HD rack, hard CVT RTT, shower tent, 99" awning, .... With 33" BFG AT KO2 tires, I lost all the lift and the rear spring got the "W" shape. So I plan to swap out the stock coil/spring for OME 886 coils and OME 600lb HD springs, has anyone has the same setup or the question is will the TRD shocks works with the OME heavy load coil/spring?
    Thanks.

Great looking truck. And excellent background.

We have those tires on my wife's DCSB (on OR wheels, 25 mm backspace) and took it over some fairly ugly "roads" in to the cabin this weekend.
No concerns, unless you count bears.

She knows way more about "looking good" that I do, and agrees that "white letters on the inside" is the way to go on the tires.

I don't see why it wouldnt work, you would revert the clip back to the lowest setting and put the spring on.

That said I'd probably leave it intact and put the 886 on a fresh 5100 and sell the TRD on its own. You're going to be removing the rear leaf spacer as well.

And at that point and given your load out, I'd go bigger than 5100's.

    Something like this.

    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/s..._Kit_with_OME_Dakar_Leaf_Pack_-_HS16BK-3.html

Just an idea, rather than making a lateral move, do an upgrade.

That's really not a bad price for all Oem parts. If you were to source all those parts yourself it might save you $150-$200, if you could even find them.

I got just the TRD Shocks and aftermarket blocks and u-bolts. I didn't even get the brake cable pcs and spent almost $600.

If your not good at finding your own parts and are not sure what you would need, this would be a good deal.

There will be members who will try and talk you into the bilstein 5100s, but I have been Very happy with the performance of this OEM setup. I do a lot of moderate offroading and have no complaints.

Kinda where I am. I don’t see myself doing a ton of off roading but would like the option.

I got all the suspension related parts for $549 shipped (I'm in Oregon so no sales tax helps).

Got most of it from BAM wholesale. They didn't have the extended U-bolts in stock so I got those (for cheaper anyway) from a reseller on eBay.

It's been shared before, but here's a list of all the suspension parts included in the kit with description, quantity and part numbers.
