Something like this after watching every employee come to the register and the manager all being clueless .

Only if I am in a hurry do i ever make it easy.

 

Are pennies still legal tender in the US?

 

Last time i used them.

Nothing like counting out a bag of pennies to buy food.

 

I used to have a change jug that all my spare change went. Once a year it went to the bank and helped fund my annual ski trip. It takes forever to fill it now.

 

I no longer venture out as often since I can no longer work.

Almost every day a pocket full of change a few dollars was tossed in.

 

They've done away with them in Canada. Now we round to the nearest 5 cents if paying with cash.

 

I cashed out for about $700 once, my rainy day fund.

Anyone remember the Married With Children when Steve talks about inventing the 99 cent coin?

 

I still arrange bills in my wallet that way, highest to lowest, all faces out and all facing upright. My wife thinks I have OCD.

 

I do the same with my paper, but just fold it in half & put in my pocket.

 

I carry around change in one of these...

 

I think the last one like that I saw was in the sixties.

Yep, first allowance was a quarter a week.

 

I never had an allowance that I remember. Started cutting lawns and doing yardwork at 12yo to get my pocket money.

 

I'm so old that I had to do chores to earn my allowance.

I have a couple of brand-new, never used ones of those. Two or three with Northwest Airlines logo and one with Delta Airlines logo on them. Used to give them out at Christmas.
The last one to my f-i-l was 10+ years ago and he showed it to me just last weekend. Carries it daily and it shows. But still holding up!
