I was winching some trees on my property and pulled a large tree that was a VERY hard pull. With the truck in neutral, parking brake on, and foot on the brake there were many times the truck was pulled instead of the downed tree moving.

Towards the end of the job my ABS lights came on, and my brake pedal went right to the floor. Checked the master cylinder and it was empty. Found the leaking as shown in the pictures below. Drivers side rear wheel, where the hub meets the axle.

What is the likely source of the leak? Wheel cylinder or something else? Any tips on the job or what else to look for would be appreciated.

Looks like a wheel cylinder blew out. They're pretty easy to replace

Whenever I pull a tree down I let the truck pull it. Has been working like a charm.

Hose that shit off and then repair as needed. If you ran the master dry you may have issues bleeding the ABS, FYI

I’ll start the bidding at $3.50.
