What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

The brackets I have mounted now came with my 270LT. They’re the same size as the majority of others. 8in x 4in, 1/4in thick and 1 1/2in wide.

the brackets that come with my Nomadic won’t work for my application at all so I’m going to order some 10x6 or 18x8 L brackets, or make my own if need be.

 

Just to clarify, Gar-Fab is a Canadian Manufacturer.

 

I bet these counter brackets would be perfect for you then.

hmmm. Looking at it, I’m wondering if it would beneficial to mount one bracket on my roof rack and the other on the bed rack. (Or two on the bed rack).

 

Man, I always forget this is a multinational forum and to check the country, even though I’m Canada adjacent.
I bet that them being based in the frigid north makes shipping much nicer too!

 

You don't want to 1 on the bed and 1 on the roof. That would lock your bed to your cab via the awning. Any flexing your truck does will twist the awning and potentially damage it. Stick with 2 on the bed rack and nothing on the roof rack.

Roadshock 22" light bar (harbor freight)

 

Are you going to replace the winch shackle mount? Having something that sticks out and down like that would worry me when wheeling.

 

How much flex really happens? I’m not questioning that it happens. Just how much. There is a space between my rtt and the roof, I can slide my flat hand under. But it’s close.

I've thought about it as well. I looked into the factor 55 hook, it looks like a solid option. The pic makes my hook look a lot lower than it actually is. There's also some give/slack. I'm gonna ride it this weekend and see how it goes.

 

You could attach a shackle to one of your recovery points and attach it to that to get it out of the way.

Agency 6 also makes one, that’s not nearly as expensive but still damn good quality.

 

Welp ... got the audiocontrol dsp/amp fully installed. Truck is back together now after almost a week.
Just have to tune it which should take me forever and a day.
Sounds pretty good, even with -3db input. Once it's tuned i will up the input.

 

It would still be $170USD shipped to the lower 48.

 

I will chop the scoop and call it a day and try it out. Plus I put in a k&n air filter.

 

Best money I've ever spent.
