Tonneau Cover Too HOT!

Any ideas about solving issue of hot tonneau cover?
I have a Roll N Lock cover and I can't even touch it when it's parked in the sun which is almost always.
It's ridiculous when I can't access my tools!!

Yeah black gets hot. I can only think of 2 solutions.

• mount a handle on it to allow pushing/pulling it that doesn't get hot.
• paint it a lighter color

 

Wrap it white?

 

Thanks for the suggestions guys!! I think it's also because it's aluminum. Anyway, I'm not going to make it white because it would look awful... it's not a white truck.
My husband just made a suggestion which is the best thing so far... wear gloves.

Because even painted white it would still be too hot for comfort. The white/black temp delta on something like that isn't as great as your 5th grade science teacher lead you to believe.
