Not Toyota but I'm sure it effects us too. Damn this wait is going to be longer than my fucking 2022 took to get in 2021 at the height of COVID how does that make sense?

Here is my problem. To put a deposit down you have to sign an offer sheet/purchase agreement AND agree to a price on the truck with an estimated delivery window. Mine was only a week after I put my deposit down hence why I went with this dealer at MSRP. Well by the time I get into my new truck prices are coming down weekly, maybe not by much but a lot of people are paying under MSRP right now even if it's only by 500-1000 under.

The market changes in that monthish it takes the vehicle to get to the dealer but you're locked in at the higher price and cannot negotiate. Or can you? Is the non refundable deposit the only thing set in stone? I have a signed purchase agreement from the sales manager but is the price gospel or negotiable since my truck is taking 4 times as long(literally) to get to the dealer as I was told.

I already got $180 taken off for some bed lights I didn't want because of the wait and I consider that a win but if my truck is just going to sit there for another 3 weeks that's a whole new set of problems $180 off won't fix for me but being pushy with the dealer makes me anxious for them to sell the truck from under me and make me wait longer or play some games.

I hope in my lifetime the dealer model dies. Can't trust their word, can't trust them to rotate tires or change my oil. Can't trust when the vehicle will get here. The second largest purchase of most of our lives besides a house and it's one of the least transparent situations imaginable unless you get lucky and find a diamond in the rough.

I feel your frustration! When I put money down after the allocation on my truck the price on their website went down $750 then $1000 about a week before it hit the lot. I initially agreed to MSRP when I was sent over the numbers via text. I never signed anything just put down $500 deposit. The day the truck came in I saved a pic of the price as advertised on the website, and asked them if this was the price they were going to sell me truck for. I didn't have any pushback other then the finance guy when doing the paperwork didn't have the $1000 off. I called him out on it, and he looked puzzled then proceeded to walk out of the office(assuming to talk to sales manager). He came back in and had to redo all the paperwork. Your deposit should be refundable! I would try to negotiate a lower price if the market changes in the meantime.

I'm going to try to negotiate when the truck comes in because this is stupid lol my initial week wait time was fine with me paying MSRP but now that things are changing ehhhhh.

Also my deposit says non refundable and yes I signed it. I wanted that truck in a weeks time like I was told. Now it's going to be more like a month and half.

I found another truck on a dealer website that isn’t spoken for. Just wanted to get an idea when it’s supposed to arrive at the dealership. Thank you

None yet-still waiting for her to come off the truck!
    @DragonPro23
Can you look up VIN 3TYCZ5AN8PT156020
I’m eagerly waiting on my Taco TRD Pro. Dealer says 1-2 weeks until I get it but I’m highly skeptical. Thanks!

In one's experience, about how long did it take to get your truck after you finally saw air in the tires via the Toyota app?

I haven't gotten the notification for air in the tires, but I've gotten several notifying me the doors are open. The dealership told me its being put on the train on Thursday and it was built 6/22. Of course, its in San Diego and I live in CT so I imagine that will be at least a week on the train.

Wow that's quick, mine has a build date of 7/10. I'm located in Los Angeles, was told by my dealer estimated arrival 8/10. I was skeptical but seeing how quick your was built to being loaded on a train gives me hope.

I thought it was quick too. I was fully prepared for an August delivery but the dealer says early- to mid-July.

Mine was built 5/19. Just got notification of air pressure, mileage, and gas on the app today. I'm told it's still in Mexico, toyota tracker shows no estimate yet. Not happy.

Living in LA shaves a lot of transport time if the truck is being built at the Baja factory, dealer usually gets it 10-12 hours after it loads on the truck

I noticed that a while ago that southern cali gets their trucks quick. Up here in the NW it takes about a month after it has left Mexico.

For everyone curious, do not put a deposit down no matter how soon the dealer tells you the truck will be there, had a projected delivery date of a week, been almost a month and my truck still hasnt left mexico with no ETA in sight. Buy one on the lot if you can. They are lying to us.

Baja is only about 350 miles from L.A so once they get to port in San Diego it’s only a few hours drive on a truck
